I think there must be economic sanctions for Turkey if it is proven to have used chemical weapons. Seeing the ongoing crisis, the UN should intervene to create a ceasefire in Syria.
You're right I think turkey will not just hand over all these territories because of some day's long cease fire and because the US thinks the turks are willing going to be all kumbaya. Without the permission of Syria and the rest, let's see who's really fooling who here. The Turks are up to something.
US government clearly wants to take benefits of that situation as they have always done in history. We need to be very skeptical. There are hidden strategies behind the "good will".
