I'm not surprised at all, Trump is the most contradicting president the United States has ever had and I'll bet my money he fired Bolton as the national security adviser maybe informally before the later decides to submit a resignation and stepped down. In any case I was also thinking maybe he never really did his job, because Trump seeks over efficiency and this guy have fallen out with Trump over disagreement on national security. Evidently the war might be a good example.
