Hola amigos, hoy me toco preparar el desayuno, pero al disponerme a hacerlo me di cuenta que no contaba con lo necesario y una de las cosas que hemos aprendido los venezolanos es a resolver con lo que haya en la nevera.

Así que abrí el refrigerador y tenía mis arepitas de maíz listas para colocarlas en la hornilla. En casa se compra el maíz pilado, se cocina, se muele, se amasa y se arman las arepas y se guardan en la nevera ya listas solo de cocinar, es todo un trabajo la preparación de la arepa, pero es más saludable y natural y además posteriormente nos ahorra tiempo y por supuesto quedan muy ricas.

Hello friends, today I have to prepare breakfast, but when I got ready to do it I realized that I did not have what was necessary and one of the things that we Venezuelans have learned is to solve with what is in the fridge.

So I opened the refrigerator and I had my corn arepitas ready to put them on the stove, at home you buy the chopped corn, cook it, grind it, knead it and put together the arepas and put them in the fridge and ready to cook. The preparation of the arepa is quite a job, but it is healthier and more natural and also later saves us time and of course they are very rich.

Ya tenía mis arepitas en el budare (Budare es una especie de plancha redonda o cuadrada que se usa para cocinar ciertos alimentos como arepas y cachapas; sin aceite y quedan como asados), pero me faltaba el relleno.

I already had my arepitas in the budare (Budare is a kind of round or square griddle that is used to cook certain foods such as arepas and cachapas; without oil and they look like roasts), but I was missing the filling.

En la nevera solo había como 100 gr de mortadela, no me alcanzaba para todas mis arepas. Así que agarre una cebolla y tres ají dulce, los pique muy finitos y los puse a cocinar con un toquecito de aceite, luego le añadí tres dientes de ajo y le coloque sal.

In the fridge there was only about 100 grams of bologna, it was not enough for all my arepas. So I grabbed an onion and three sweet peppers, chop them very finely and put them to cook with a little oil, then I added three cloves of garlic and put salt on it.

Raye una zanahoria y se la añadí a los aliños que ya estaban dorándose, olía muy rico. Los mezcle y probé para ver si estaba bien de sal y solo eso sin agregar nada más sabia muy rico, pero le agregue la mortadela rayada y mezcle.

I scratched a carrot and added it to the dressing that was already browning, it smelled very good. I mixed them and I tried to see if it was good with salt and only that without adding anything else it tasted very rich, but I added the striped mortadella and mix.

La mezcla final quedo espectacular, además que uno de los aji salio picante y le dio ese toque especial.

Rellene mis arepas que quedaron deliciosas y no podía faltar una taza de café para completar el plato.

The final mixture was spectacular, in addition that one of the peppers was spicy and gave that special touch.

Fill my arepas that were delicious and could not miss a cup of coffee to complete the dish.

Si tomamos un poquito de cada cosa que tengamos en la nevera puede dar un resultado deliciosamente inesperado.

If we take a little bit of everything we have in the fridge it can give a deliciously unexpected result.
