Aceh Tsunami Museum

This museum was built by the Aceh government to commemorate the historic Tsunami event that occurred in 2004. The Aceh Tsunami Museum displays a collection of images of the destruction and recovery after the 2004 tsunami. The historical and educational tourist attraction is located on Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda No. 3, Sukaramai Village, Baiturrahman District, Banda Aceh City, Aceh Province. The tsunami museum building was designed as a symbolic reminder of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami disaster. The museum is also used as an education center and emergency disaster shelter if the area is hit by a tsunami again.

Lake Laut Tawar

Lake Laut Tawar is located in Central Aceh Regency which is surrounded by the green Mount Leuser. The tourist attraction is located in four sub-districts, namely Kebayakan, Bebesan, Lut Tawar, and Bintang Sub-districts. Lake Laut Tawar is a tectonic volcanic lake formed along the Semangko fault with an area of ​​five hectares, a length of 17 kilometers, and a width of three kilometers. This lake is called Laut Tawar because its location is wide so that it looks like an ocean, but the water is fresh water. The area of ​​​​Lake Laut Tawar offers stunning richness thanks to rows of green hills with blue lakes. If you are interested in a longer vacation, there are places to stay such as hotels, guesthouses, and camping areas to pitch tents.

Blang Kolam Waterfall

Blang Kolam Waterfall in North Aceh is located in the middle of a forest with lush trees. In addition to being an amazing place, the location of this waterfall also offers cool and beautiful air far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The place is located in Blang Kolam Village, Tanah Luas District, North Aceh. From Lhokseumawe city, it takes about two hours to get to Blang Kolam Waterfall by land. This natural tourist attraction has several levels of waterfalls with various different pools, the most striking being the first level which offers enchanting views. In addition, because it is surrounded by tropical rainforest, it feels cool and comfortable. Here, visitors can swim, take selfies, and even have a picnic with their families.

Lhok Mee Beach

Located in Lamreh Village, Mesjid Raya District, Aceh Besar Regency, Lhok Mee Beach has the attraction of fine white sand along the coast. Lhok Mee Beach is about an hour's drive from the capital of Aceh Province, Banda Aceh City. During the trip from the Simpang Mesra Roundabout, visitors will pass several tourist attractions, such as the Japanese fleet landing monument in Aceh, Ujong Batee Beach, Indraptra Fort, Krueng Raya Port, Admiral Malahayati's Tomb, and Lamreh Hill. At Lhok Mee Beach, tourists can sit on the branches of large trees that are submerged in seawater. When the tide recedes, the beach turns into a hunting ground for octopus and beautiful shells. In addition, there are rows of gazebos to rest while enjoying grilled fish, Aceh noodles, instant noodles, young coconut water, tea, coffee, and others from the stalls there.

Mount Leuser National Park

Mount Leuser National Park is a conservation area and a mainstay tourist destination in Aceh Province. Home to various flora and fauna, it is located in two provinces, namely Aceh Province and North Sumatra. The park area is located in five districts, namely Southeast Aceh, South Aceh, East Aceh, Langkat, and Tanah Karo Districts. Mount Leuser National Park has three functions, namely: protection of life support systems, preservation of plant and animal diversity and their ecosystems, and sustainable use of natural resources and their ecosystems.

Sawang Beach

Another natural tourist destination that is very worthy of visiting during the Eid holiday is Sawang Beach. This water tourism destination is located in the Padang Bakau area, Sawang Infah Village, Labuhan Haji District, South Aceh Regency. The Sawang beach tourist spot presents the charm of white sand that stretches along the coast. This tourist attraction is an option for family vacations, especially on weekends. Because the waves on Sawang Beach are small, tourists are allowed to swim or just soak for a while. In this beach tourist area there is also a bathing pool and a children's playground.
