in #thediarygame4 years ago

Hello everyone on this charitable platform! I hope we are all doing well.To day is another blessed thursday given to as by the creater.Today marked thursday, the busiest day in my community. This time i did not spent the thursday at Nsuta because am serving as exhibition officer at Sunkwae one of the villages under Nsuta.Thursday is always busy at Nsuta because thursday is the market day at Nsuta but Sunkwae is not like that at all.The place is too far from Nsuta so they dont come to Nsuta for market.

Today is my seventh day in Sunkwae as an exhibition officer.I woke up at 6:00am and took my bath.Because the exhibition center is just the place we live,we dont always rushed to the place because even if we are in the,we can see anybody who will come around to the center. At 8:30 am,i and my friend went and sat at the exhibition center for more than two hours but no one came. All of the villagers went to farm leaving only as in the house. The place was so quite that we could not even hear the cry of the baby.We only heard the cry of birds, goat and sheep.I walked on a foot path that the villagers normally pass on to farm for about one kilometer thinking i will see where they usually go for farming but i couldn't walk further and returned home.

(The chainsaw operators at work)

When it was 10:00am i heard a sound close to the house,it was a sound of a chainsaw machine.I went there following the sound and God being so good,i found where the chainsaw machine was operating. There was two peoples working there, one was the operator and the other one was helping the operator.

When i got there,i found them cutting down the trees at the place with the machine.I got close to them and greeted them.I also asked them what they are cutting the trees for. They spoke nicely to me by saying they are cutting the trees for charcoal. They told me that charcoal business is what they do for a living. They told me they usually send their charcoal to Nsuta to sell.I stood there for a long time watching them while they work. When they cut down the tree, they then cut it into logs of about about one meter long. After they finished their work,i left the place and came home.

I came to the exhibition center and sat there till even. When it was six in the evening,i closed the center and went home.I fetched some water into the bathroom and took my bath.I and my colleague went and sat under a tree for sometime till it was 7:30pm.We were called by the landlord to come and eat. After we finished eating, went inside and sleep.

Sort:

The only thing I can say about the charcoal business is that, it's a bit lucrative but they should always be sure to replant more trees upon chopping them down.
