Contest Voting!
First of all, thank you to all the people that have entered our little contest over here! There is 50 STEEM on the line for the lucky winner, so we are asking that you - the community - decide which one you like the best! Down below in the comments, you will find the entries people have submitted. We ask that you vote for the one(s) that you like best! The one with the most votes upon payout will be our logo winner for this year, good luck to the artists!
Venue!
The Hotel Elegante in Colorado Springs is what we have set our sights on and are going over and finalizing contract details with. This will be the official venue where we do our performances and various people/communities will be giving their presentations. Isn't it gorgeous? We will be blocking off a good chunk of rooms for people that choose to stay there with us (though not mandatory - just makes it easier) and we also will be having catering provided. Beer and wine for those that want to get wet - have to get your own hard stuff though, sorry. All kinds of goodies are available for us to have fun and enjoy ourselves with. Once we get that all worked out, we will start pushing tickets out so people can reserve their spot - tickets will be limited!
Fundition!
Yes! With the assistance of @pennsif, @zen-art, and a few other helpful Steempeeps, we have gotten the support of @fundition to move forward with help from the Steem community as a whole. Our appreciation is in full force for their acceptance. If you'll notice, it says no image available, that is because we are putting this out for you to decide! Be sure to vote on the one(s) below so we can attach a worthy image to the event!

Obviously, things like this cost money, and as our personal budgets aren't the world's largest, witness @enginewitty (currently ranked #94 on Steemian.info), has been reaching out to people and communities to seek their support in making this happen. These are all communities he associates with on some level, helps to support in various forms or fashions and are -he feels- also heavily vested in the future of STEEM. This list is more complete now, and we still may have room for a few more. As it stands, so far we have:
- @adsactly - ADSactly has been a supporter of The Alliance almost since its inception. They love that we have been supportive of them as well and we all agree that the #steem #blockchain is one of the cryptosphere's best kept secrets. They run a witness (currently #53) and have been helping to secure the chain for ages. They already have several things in mind for a presentation and some beautiful things to unveil to the public! They really are about community and we thank you for your commitment! Stop in to their discord sometime and say hello!
- @ssg-community - #steemsilvergold 'pirates' and The Alliance family have always meshed well together and there is a strong crossover of members from each community. Upon speaking with @raybrockman and @thedamus, there was a big 'Hell Yea!' involved! Maybe we'll see a new 2019 STEEM Round unveiled or have a live #monsterraffle? Rumor has it that the #monsterraffle4 will coincide with The Block Party! I do know of something really kick ass that'll be exposed! Be exciting to see some shiny people there! Thank you for your commitment!
- @spl - After speaking with @bethalea, she was all about having some representation for Lucksacks and the Steem Poker League. Wouldn't it be fun to have a live poker tournament? I'm game! Thank you for your commitment!
- @freewritehouse - This is a treat for anyone that wants to expand their creative hand. @mariannewest has committed to helping sponsor and come up with a few fun activities for people. This is a very unexpected and appreciated gesture as there were multiple communities and people asked that had far deeper pockets and more time on their hands that declined - many thanks! I look forward to a live #freewrite activity!
- @oracle-d - Though unable to actually attend, @starkerz has agreed to help out in various other ways and be a sponsor of this event, so we thank him heavily and will be spoken of and thought of fondly throughout the process. Did you know they were a witness too? (currently #95) They help so many people, maybe stop in with your extra vote?
- @dsound - Talking to @prc is always a joy as he has a great attitude. Music will do that to you. They have agreed to have representation there and perhaps give a presentation. Beautiful thing too, because we have some great musicians showing up to perform! They also run a witness (currently #105) for those that have extra votes! Thank you for your commitment!
- FreedomEx.io - A brand new exchange attaching itself to the blockchain from some familiar Steempeeps has stepped up to the plate and have agreed to help sponsor the event. Aside from running the @freedomx.witness (currently #131), they have been working hard to help get STEEM out of the bushes and into the playing field. They recently launched their own token - FREEX - and have beautifully secured STEEM to be part of the NetCoins integration! Congrats guys! - @guiltyparties - Good ol' Guilty has come forward and will be throwing some things together for us! He is also a witness (currently #62), representing multiple communities including the veterans here on the chain. Very happy to see this long-time blockchain enthusiast offer what he can to assist in our endeavor.
- @nainaztengra - She has been a long time supporter of #thealliance and we are happy to call her smiling self 'family'. Thank you sweetheart!
- @thecryptodrive - He has given a healthy donation to the cause! Thank you sir! He is a stellar witness (currently ranked #2!) Be on the lookout for DLease and the exciting things they will be bringing to the table!
So Thankful
For all the people/organizations/communities that have agreed to help us out and give what they have been able to. It's going to be real fun, I promise! Especially when you have some AWESOMESAUCE like @carrieallen out there and familiar with the territory and happy to see to it we all have an absolute blast. There have been open discussions about various things we could do aside from some expected and anticipated presentations from our sponsors. I did mention musicians will be coming and @carrieallen, @chrisroberts and @enginewitty will also be 'performing'! Here's some ideas (a few concrete) that we have come up with:
Event Ideas & Performers
- A LIVE comedic acting performance by Carrie, Chris & Witty (The Lord of the D) featuring scripts from their show - The Play House! This will happen and it'll be an absolute blast!
- @zipporah - has agreed to come to Colorado and share her beautiful voice with us! Maybe we can even get her on stage for some of The Play House characters!
- @katrina-ariel - A smashing performance at #steemfest has landed her in the eyes of many and she has won #openmic since then. Her voice is captivating and we are looking forward to seeing her live again!
- @paintingangels - Another of the chain's wonderful voices, has agreed to come and give us a special show! We are definitely looking forward to meeting her and hearing her play and sing!
- Field Day? - Remember when you were in grade school and we had 3-legged races, ran the egg, did obstacle courses and had scavenger hunts? Ya baby, we're gonna bring out our inner children and have some serious fun!
