100 DAYS OF STEEM: Day #20- June 14, 2020 - Supervising Mason Work In My Diary Game
Hello Everyone!,
This is another great Sunday. It has really been wonderful joining the 100 days of Steem, since I have been impacted in my Steem journey; thanks to @steemitblog, Steemit Team and @steemcurator01 for their immense support. Today is my 20th day in the Diary Game challenge. It has left with few days to end this journey of the 100 days of Steem, therefore I need to work harder to grasp some points.
I want to show you Guys the activity I engaged myself with, from morning to evening. Since last week, I have already reported in my two daily posts about small projects that I tackled to make my house complete and also avoid further problem which might come. You can read more thorough these links: 1.Giving a helping hand in small carpentry work 2.Gathering the scraps of wood after Mason work
Today was a finishing touches of some little Mason work; the dressing of the erected platform to place my poly tank and dressing of some part of the wall of the building. I employed Mason and one labourer, this was enough to accomplish the work available. The work began in early morning, the Mason and the labourer reported around 8:00am. I acted as supervisor, monitoring them to ensure effective work done. This wasn't strict instructions to put pressure on them, but at least show them some critical point that they might escape.
The first point was to dress the the pillars of the erected platform. This was the mixing of the sand, water and cement by the labourer. I had to make sure that the required quantity of cement was used to get rich concrete. I was there when the labourer mixed everything. Sometimes if you don't observe them closely they can do shoddy work.
When the labourer finished mixing the concrete, he fetched some quantity into the help pan and climbed upward through the ladder for the Mason on the scaffolding. The Mason collected and began the dressing. He did it to the perfection as I wanted it to be. This is one Mason that I love his work very much. He smoothed the surface with the trowel very nicely. That was indeed a great work from Obeng.
The next was to dress the base of some small portion of the building. This was as a result of the excessive rainfall which has weakened that part. This is the time I could utilize that opportunity for today, since Mason people are difficult to spent more time on your work. Sometime if you don't monitor them, they will run and leave your work to other place. I followed them to where I wanted them to dress. Obeng and his labourer first chiseled the place to make it rough for the concrete to hold it. This was done with hammer. The place was very weak so, it was easily chiseled. There was enough concrete there so the labourer can and fetched some with the help pan for Obeng. He started the dressing work.
This was just the rough surface, he has to let it dry for a while so that he can smoothing it with the trowel . I went round to check how nice the work was, and really it was nice work.
I thought the could finish not knowing that the work was.difficult. I have even located some place that I want them to do for me tommorow. I negotiated with them that they should come tomorrow and continue. For the platform, it has left with the dressing of the top surface. The sides of the pillars are Ok . Maybe if I find any additional fault which will be needed for repairs, I will let them do.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Thanks for your time and have a nice weekend.

Thank you for taking part in The Diary Game on Steem.
Will this tower be for a water tank? How much water in liters or gallons will it hold?
The Steemit Team
Yes, this is a tower for water storage. 30,000 litres & about 6,500 gallons of water. Thanks for your support.
That is a good size tank.
How many weeks will that amount of water last your family?
