100 DAYS OF STEEM — 19/06/2020 - Extra Challenge - Who’s In Your Country? ENG/ITA
Source - Pixabay
Hi everyone!
Today I am happy to accept the invitation from the @steemitblog team, who proposed in this post the interesting extra challenge Who’s In Your Country?.
The request is that to draw up a list of active Steemians from our home country, with the aim of allowing greater ease in recruiting other possible new participants in the Diary Game and all the initiatives that will be proposed by the Steemit team.
As someone of you already knows, I am Italian and therefore I have dealt with tracking down all (or almost) of my compatriots still present on the platform.
Before proceeding to show you the list, however, I want to make a necessary premise.
The Italian community on Steem blockchain has experienced periods of extraordinary expansion.
@steempostitalia, the largest Italian community to which I belong, was the biggest user base for our compatriots and has helped many users to embark on their adventure here, training them theoretically and supporting them in terms of upvotes.
Between 2017 and 2018, there were approximately 500 active users and peaks of 200 posts in a day.
A lot of work...even if for us, at that moment, these were very small numbers.
We aimed to make the platform known to many other people and we were ready to invest time and resources to obtain maximum results.
It's clear that this is much simpler when a steem is worth 8$ and a SBD is worth 14$.
We all know how things went and for many reasons, many users have left the platform.
In these first months of 2020, then, the community lost the delegations and supports that allowed it to carry out the daily work of curation and scouting for new talents, so it totally closed its activities on the blog (incidentally, it is not currently active on other networks either.)
Clearly, it was the final blow that decimated even more the presence of Italian bloggers on Steem.
The number of active users you see here, therefore, is motivated by the succession of all these events.
So, I explain you how I made the selection and search.
Referring mainly to the #ita tag and leaving out the Italian users who know the Diary Game and are already participating, I divided the users into two groups.
The first is the one that includes those who write different types of posts and these are:
@zaragast
@alequandro
@drago18121996
@tizswa
@spiceboyz
@vvonderlander
@marcolino76
@adinapoli
@robibasa
@famigliacurione
@luigi-tecnologo
@noemilunastorta
@lorenzopistolesi
@rscalabrini
@road2horizon
@ilnegro
The second group includes users who are active but who post almost exclusively in Actifit:
@im-ridd
@poliwalt10
@tinamarr
@ricky85va
@claudietto
@mad-runner
@allics
@davidesimoncini
In all, there are 25 currently active users that I managed to find.
If you know other active users, (or you yourself are reading it) and you want to be added to the list, write me in private or in the comments and I will insert you.
Just as anyone who wants to be removed from the list for any reason, can contact me and will be immediately removed.
In addition to the research that I did independently and thanks to the support of the #post section of our Discord server, I found the weekly report compiled by @road2horizon very useful.
This is their last post and contains some very interesting statistics, which allow us to understand the current situation very clearly.
I don't know if in the future it will be possible to put the Italian community back on its feet and what kind of resources can be made available to start again. But honestly, I hope it happens with a well-determined plan and careful work, as has been done by our team until we have had the chance.
I hope the post has been useful and, if you have any questions or considerations, I am at your disposal.

Ciao a tutti!
Who’s In Your Country? .
@zaragast
@alequandro
@drago18121996
@tizswa
@spiceboyz
@vvonderlander
@marcolino76
@adinapoli
@robibasa
@famigliacurione
@luigi-tecnologo
@noemilunastorta
@lorenzopistolesi
@rscalabrini
@road2horizon
@ilnegro
@im-ridd
@poliwalt10
@tinamarr
@ricky85va
@claudietto
@mad-runner
@allics
@davidesimoncini
Many of the users you have indicated are also on Hive where it seems to me that they are reorganizing the Italian community.
I don't know how many of these users have chosen to stay only on Steemit. .I don't think many.
Being one of the first Italian users to land on Steemit, I know very well the events of this community. Unfortunately, it has always been driven by massive doses of subsidies that have kept it standing and, once these are over, it has deflated. It never seemed like a good way to operate and for this reason I was not an active part of it. A group too closed in on itself which, while giving good indications to new users, at first completely in disarray, has also created quite a few controversies within it that have undermined its activities and credibility.
However, they are now regrouping on Hive.
My best wishes for them but I have chosen to resume writing, after more than a year of absence, only on Steemit where the climate has fortunately changed.
There were other socials where we met with Italian bloggers like Trybu or Narrative and we collaborated profitably.
Without leaders or leaders ..
I hope that, eventually, also on steemit it will be possible to recreate this spirit of free collaboration between users in our country.
Yes, there have been many discussions, disagreements and divergences...I have lived them all myself but I will not go into the details, because at this point it would be absolutely useless and there would remain a chat between you and me as an end in itself.
I confirm that some users of those mentioned write on Hive, but at present the @steempostitalia community is not gathering on Hive. Maybe in the future it will, but I assure you it's not happening now.
There are other groups that are organizing themselves to propose one or more community curators, but even in that case, I don't know how it will end.
I am open to free collaboration here and I hope that the future will be positive, both for the platform and for the Italians who want to continue using it.
I agree with you. The story has ended and new chapters are opening. On Steemit the time for endless controversy is over. Luckily...

Thanks a lot, Italians and South Americans are like brothers and sisters.
E ' fantastico!

Saluti
