Welcome to Steemit Challenge Season 26 to all my lovely friends. I am very happy to have this opportunity it's brilliant chance for those who are really willing to learn pottery making and painting with me. The course outline consists of 6 parts weekly in which I love to share the basic tips and techniques practically with demonstration of basic things needed for work on different materials like cement,white cement,plaster of paris , musiac pot making, different types of beautiful pot making etc.
Friends, today I am very happy to present the forth week of this proposal. For this week, as I mentioned in my application post, starting from the beginner level makes it easy to understand further step-by-step moves at the advanced level gradually so moved on firth level... That's " pottery for your home decor making from plaster of Paris and painting tips"

Friends I divided procedure into main four steps
- 1 : Mold preparation
- 2 : Clay /materials mixing and fixing
- 3 : Let it dry then demolding
- 4 : Painting/final presentation
Grease the mold with brush applied evenly on the Inner sides of the surface now the mold is ready.

This time I used flat style actually we need base for key rack is flat and I wants to make strong and beautiful hanging key rack
Now moved on second and very important step,the material mixing ,took a bowl add plaster of Paris with the help of spoon from bag that enough for you mold size ,add water and mixed well .wear mask during mixing it infact dust came out so for perfection ware face mask .

The mixture incorporated with spatula mixed till we got the fine paste having runny consistency then pour carefully in a grease mold .Tap gentle for removed air bubbles from it then set a side till dried ,do not touch it till hard dry.I also insert the two small sticks for hanging holes .
The plaster of Paris having quick dried property 2 hours is enough for settled well

Leave it for at least 2 hours for good results actually the timing varying depending upon the factors like thickness of the layer,mold type and weather .
After two hours it would easily removed due to greesesd mold base .you can see how easily demold.l removed sticks and got fine two holes for hanging.
I also removed sticks from the plaster base and got fine holes there easily rope passed.
Now we reached at last step.... painting 🖌️ on my rack ,I got the perfect defined picture onby acrylic paints ,it given fantastic look so I decide to paint sunset scene on the base for that I used orange, yellow and brown fusion look .it's totally optional for participants you do as you like ....

- The beautiful blending of shade gives new shades to my painting I hope you will enjoy like me ...
- I also painted palm tree and birds on it.
- I glued 3 keys holders from glued gun .
- Passed thick rope on both holes making hanging hook for the rack .

Second style : Flower vase /multi-purpose holder out of plaster of Paris
Well guys we need following items for simple and easy vase making from plaster of Paris out of shopper ,when I reviewed many participants blogs when faced challenges on the step of demolding pots so it's a good idea for all of those so followed step by step procedure and will get definitely stronger and durable pot so hereI started ....
- Empty glass jar
- Plaster of Paris
- Water
- Shopping bag) polythene bag
- Rope
- Paints

- By first make thick paste of plaster of Paris for that add water and plaster of Paris in a bowl as I made mixture in the same in style one .
- Now we poured all mixture in polythene bag but before that do not forget to put the empty glass jar in the middle of the mixture that poured in polythene bad and glass jar must be half filled with water for weigh and perfect shaped maintaining to our vase ,in the last closed the polythene bag mouth with rope and set a side for at least two hours for complete dry as I mentioned plaster of Paris quickly dried so two hours enough for it ,after that mixture with glass would dry cut the polythene bag care fully and with out demolding you got pot out easily .
*Now scrubbing it from send paper on pot where needed for smooth surface for painting and defined look.

Now our vase /holder is ready , decor it in your original style,preferred to painted it from acrylic paints infact it's more durable , long lasting and looking more attractive and painting had shinny look due to oil base in paints.
We got the 3D style vase having dimensions so got appoortnity I used different colours and designs on sides of the vase like pink ,green ,black ,gold ,purple but before all of that applied primer of white acrylic/oil paint for fine base and it's truly amazing when your pot had bad or uneven surface it's gives smooth and roughness free surface so must applied primer first .
1 . Make any decor item for your home out of "plaster of Paris" follow the given method in the course make any one style project according to your convenience,add detail with step-by-step pictures. Include your name tag with the date at the final presentation of your work.
