"SLC-S26/W3 | "Mosaic pottery (Mirror art/ ceramics mosaic art) "

Greetings everyone!

Welcome to season 26 week 3 of the steemit learning challenge this past week have been about molding different pottery with different designs, in this week challenge I'm going to be designing a clay pot with broken glass and paint this design is called the mosaic pot.

1 . This week you never need to make a pot but yes !!! share any one type of Mosaic art work that share in course on your choice ,must follow given method in the course ,add detail with step-by-step pictures. Include your name tag with the date at the final presentation of your work.

Material used

• white cement

• orange paint

• brush

• black mirrow glass

• ceramic pot

I added water to the white cement mixed and coated the ceramic pot with it as the starting base I let the first application dry.

Then I started applying the white cement bit by bit at the same time glueing the glass piece to the pot as it dries alongside with the cement after which I mixed my orange colour paint getting ready for the second layer painting.

I started the second colour painting after the first painting had dried I covered the whole pot including the glass piece with the orange paint. I use a little piece of foam to clean the glasses one after the other , after cleaning few the beauty of the pot start coming up.

After I was done cleaning I placed my brush vertically and smoothen the space between each glasses making the paint a bit smoother, then I placed it outside to dry.

Lastly my beautiful mosaic pot was ready and I planted a purple color flower in it, took a happy selfie with my flower pot.

The final results with tag, name and date.

2 . Do you liked the Mosaic art pottery or not ?? (1 -marks)

I think this is the most beautiful pottery i have made so far even though it was hard having to clean all the glass from the paint, after cleaning half of the pot and see how beautiful it was it really motivated me i was so happy doing it I really loved my mosaic art pottery.

3 . Do you face any kind of difficulty making Mosaic pottery ?

I used white cement for the base because i couldn't find a suitable glue for the glass in my locality so I had to use white cement which can hold it just like glue so the challenge was that white cement dries up very fast mixing a little bit of white cement everytime and having to apply the glass fast sometimes i ended up mixing and not using because it dried up even before i could fix 10 pieces of glass, also the cleaning of glass part it required extremely carefulness not to ruin the paint,

4 . Share with us how you react when your pottery never turned out as your expectation.

I trusted the process from adding the white cement and adding the black glasses were i lost the trust was during the second painting coating together with the glass makes it look like my pot has lost it beauty

after I cleaned of the paint from the glass the beauty gradually came back after I had seen the results my curiosity was satisfied and my expectations were made.
