A Look Into TenX: Making your Bitcoin, Ether and Litecoin Instantly Spendable.

in #tenx6 years ago (edited)

Have you heard of TenX? This is a new blockchain company from Singapore and they are making it easy for you to spend your cryptocurrencies from anywhere. I am sure you have been paying for something and a thought crossed your mind about how easy it would be if you would pay for a product or service easily using your crypto assets. How can we do this? You ask? They have debit cards that allow you to say, pay for your groceries or dinner using this card as you would your normal cards.

Swanky New Cards

Just recently, TenX made an announcement on twitter showcasing their swanky new debit card design. As the company is from Singapore, that is where the cards will be distributed first. They then plan to expand to other parts of the Asia Pacific area. Their next plan of action is to go to Europe where there are very many opportunities for adoption of the cards.

This is really great that you will be in a supermarket and you can pay for your monthly groceries with Litecoin of Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency). The card is in conjunction with VISA and we look forward to having a decentralized card. When I saw this, I thought about keeping tabs on spending and how we will do it.

I released that they have a mobile app called the Ten X Wallet. Some of the cryptocurrency in the wallet are Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ether. However, they do plan to add more cryptocurrencies because as we all know, the market is very diverse. You can get their app in Android or in iOS.

Working with Visa

Visa is a company that has established itself over time and makes for a perfect transaction processor. According to Cryptobriefing.com, the system can confirm over eight thousand transactions every second. There is no stopping cryptocurrency cards from being adopted by people and it is great that TenX is aiming to make crypto easy to spend for people. It has been an idea to make a virtual card that people can spend from anywhere but having a physical card, then that is a great idea. You can also send and receive cryptocurrency using this card.

The TenX card

I love the matte black design of the card. If you are into branding, you know that Black branding makes things look sleek so I really love the design. The card has the VISA logo and TenX writing near the corner. I love the minimalism in the card and aesthetically it ticks the boxes. I also love how they tested out their cards. Following the discussion on Twitter, they first shipped a few cards to their internal members so that they can get a feel of the cards before they settled on a design.

Here is a simple example with an explanation of how the cards will look. As you see everything is very minimalist and the name will be on the bottom left part. I love how they use Satoshi Nakamoto as the name. I also love the "Join the Revolution" tagline.

Growth and a Remarkable ICO

This company was established in June 2015 under the name OneBit. PayPal incubated the company in 2016 and this obviously helped them grow. They then rebranded to TenX. The name was symbolic in the sense that they were growing tenfold. I like that. They had their ICO on 24th June 2017. In their ICO they had remarkable figures like 80M USD worth of coins which sold in 7 minutes.

Wow. When it comes to token sales that is HUGE!

They must have had an airtight marketing strategy and a strong network to be able to raise such an amount in minutes. People must also believe in their product a lot. Nowadays it is very hard to run an ICO that successfully but I believe that when you have a great product and market it well, then that will be successful. It also helped that they had been in operation for some time and they had support from big players like PayPal.
