Introduction

In the past few days, I have written 2 articles about the TenX platform, the first one was a general look into what this project is about, the problems they are trying to solve and the solution they are offering to the market, and the second article was my own overview about the TenX wallet application, where I provided a personal explanation, with the help of my own screenshots, of the features users will find after downloading it.

Since TenX is certainly an exciting project with ambitious goals, I decided that it would be interesting to dive deep into who their founders are as well as their skills and experiences that eventually led them to the creation of TenX.

The TenX co-founders

Michael Sperk (Engineering Lead)

Being the person in charge of the engineering work at TenX, it is clear he must have an extensive education on a related field, as we can see in his LinkedIn profile, he has a Bachelor’s Degree as well as a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Innsbruck. This particular university is one of the oldest ones in Austria, and looking for information about its quality, I found the following info:

That image was taken from a website that provides information about universities from all over the world, and compares them based on how good they are regarding several aspects. In the image above, I showed the ranking of the University of Innsbruck in the field of “Computer Science and Information Systems” because that’s the field were Michael Sperk studied, however, his education goes one step further because he also finished a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics in the Medical University of Innsbruck, I wanted to include its corresponding rankings but unfortunately there weren’t any available, for anyone interested in knowing more about this university you can visit this website.

Taking into account he finished his Master’s Degree in 2011 and he was a Ph.D. student from February 2012 until July 2013, it is fair to assume that he has gathered extensive experience and knowledge over the last few years. Before becoming one of TenX founders, he worked on a company called Visalyze which consists in “a software service that enables to visually analyze social media accounts on basis of visual pattern identification.” | Source

It was in February 2016 when he finally ended up joining the TenX team, and in my own opinion, this person went through a successful educational period, studying an extremely important career for modern times such as Computer Science, that clearly helps him develop top-notch software solutions, and even though we cannot have access to his grades, we can at least see how well his university is ranked in his particular field.

Having said all this, I can conclude that this person should have the proper skills to be the lead engineering at the TenX project, nevertheless, I am curious in knowing the opinion of anyone who is interested in TenX and in using it as a payment platform, so please feel free to share your own opinion about every founder.

The next co-founder is…

Paul Kittiwongsunthorn (CDO)

Paul is the Chief Data Officer at TenX, this job consists in being “responsible for enterprise-wide governance and utilization of information as an asset, via data processing, analysis, data mining, information trading and other means”. | Source

He has extensive education in the field of design thanks to having studied in 3 universities. The first one was Chulalongkorn University, where he studied Industrial Design, we can see its ranking below:

Then, he went to study User Experience Design in the Kyoto Institute of Technology, and even though he later began a Ph.D. on Automotive UI/UX at the same university, he never finished that Ph.D. Unlike the first university, this one doesn’t have specific field-related rankings because every career they teach is related to the Technology field, its general ranking can be seen below:

The remaining university where he educated himself, was the well-known Stanford University, it was in a collaboration between Stanford and the Kyoto Institute of Technology and he was able to learn about Design Innovation in the course called ME310. It isn’t a surprise for any of us to see that Stanford is one of the highest-ranking universities in the entire planet, below we can see its rankings:

He did so well in the ME310 course, that he went on to become one of the teachers, which would become his first job according to his LinkedIn profile. It is clear that becoming a teacher in the place where he just studied means the person was probably the best student of the entire course, either way, this certainly proves Paul is very talented in what he does. Later on, he had a brief experience working as an Innovation Coach at Kyoto Design Lab, and his last entrepreneurship before becoming one of the co-founders of TenX was with a project called OneOne Agency, that consisted in creating a websites designed to attract tons of visitors, although his work at that place only lasted for 1 year.

After reviewing his professional experience, it is clear that TenX is his most challenging and exciting project, what TenX can achieve with its wallet application and the TenX card could be life changing for millions of people wanting to use their crypto holdings for everyday purchases. In my opinion, Paul educational history is impressive, so having him as the CDO at TenX is surely a good thing.

Conclusion

It is important for every ambitious project to have skilled people in charge of the most important and demanding responsibilities, in this article, the education and professional history of 2 TenX co-founders were shared and discussed, however, since there are 4 co-founders in total, the second part of this series of articles is going to be about the remaining 2 co-founders.

I am interested in knowing what people think of the 2 co-founders that were covered in this article, especially for those who are thinking in using the TenX payment platform.

As always, feel free to share your thoughts and ask any question you might have about this project!

Seems like they all had prolific school years. Harbingers of future successes.

I agree my friend, TenX looks promising and I am waiting for their cards to be available again.

I might just follow suit.
