TLOS Wallets & How do you get TLOS TOKENS

People have been asking lot of questions about TLOS Tokens and TLOS Wallets. Let's go through some of the important topics that may be important for you.

Note that Telos will be launched by TLG (Telos Launch Group); some of which are EOS block producer candidates who took part in the EOS Mainnet Launch Group (EMLG). This group is well versed in the mechanics of launching and running the mainnet since it has done so before.

Who will get TLOS Sharedrop/Airdrop?

EOS Genesis Snapshot has been used as a basis for initial TLOS token distribution. If you were in the EOS genesis snapshot, and held EOS Tokens in the EOS genesis snapshot, then you will get TLOS Sharedrop/Airdrop with a ratio of 1:1. However, all genesis addresses will be capped at 40,000 TLOS. It means that max cap is 40000. If you held more than 40000 TLOS then you will get only 40000 TLOS Tokens.

Are TLOS airdropped directly into EOS wallets?

TLOS will "not" be airdropped to EOS wallets because Telos is a separate, and independent blockchain network. TLOS tokens will be available to all users who had accounts in the EOS genesis snapshot. Token holders can access their TLOS tokens on Telos Blockchain Network when it will be activated by using their same EOS genesis account names and respective EOS key-pairs.

What if my EOS genesis account keys were lost or compromised?

It is very important for Telos to make sure that the proper owners receive their TLOS tokens in upcoming Telos sharedrop/airdrop.

TLG (Telos Launch Group) have two different processes/ways that EOS account holders can follow to recover their lost keys.

Where TLOS tokens can be traded?

There are two major exchanges which has promised to launch TLOS Pairs. More exchanges listing TLOS will be announced as agreements will be reached.

Please note that:

TLG (Telos Launch Group) are requiring exchanges to agree to give TLOS tokens to their customers and apply the cap (cap is 40000 TLOS). TLG (Telos Launch Group) cannot force any exchange to participate in Telos Echo System. However, Telos has reserved 140,279,973 TLOS in an exchange reserve fund.
Until now TLG have signed agreements with DEXEOS and ChainRift. After Telos activation, it is expected to have additional exchange partnerships.

Will my TLOS tokens be able to vote if they are currently on exchanges?

When you have withdrawn (taken out) your own TLOS tokens from exchanges and transferred them to your own Telos address (Key-Pairs), you can vote with them. Please note that (it is important to remember that) individual owners cannot vote their tokens while they are held on exchanges. Preventing voting from exchange accounts ensures that TLOS token holders’ votes are truly under their own control.

Wallets?

You can use Sqrl to store and trade your TLOS tokens. Sqrl is a fully functional light wallet designed for the TELOS blockchain. This application can be used to connect to a remote TELOS API endpoint to perform producer voting actions and common wallet commands.

What I have to do to claim tokens?

TLOS tokens can be accessed on the Telos blockchain network. You must acknowledge the Telos governance documents https://telosfoundation.io/governance and interact with the Telos blockchain network to access TLOS tokens.

One of the easiest ways to access Telos blockchain network is to use a tool or wallet such as Sqrl or Scatter. There will be several tools out there. However, Sqrl is a Telos-compatible version of the Greymass eos-voter wallet.
