Telephone
The first telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell and patented on March 7, 1876. Bell made the first successful telephone call on March 10, 1876, when he spoke to his assistant, Thomas Watson, saying:
“Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you.”
Bell’s telephone worked by converting sound waves into electrical signals, which were then transmitted through a wire and converted back into sound at the receiving end. His invention revolutionized communication and led to the development of the modern telephone network.
