Vault with the Teikhos authentication method, to let anyone test the idea

in #teikhos6 years ago

This here is possibly the most secure cold storage on Ethereum, your funds are secured with what I call Teikhos, from the Greek for "fortification"

proof-of-public-key = f(nextPublicKey) xor sha512(nextPublicKey)

The vault:

To generate keys,

The vault is just a demonstration, and the idea is to use proof-of-public-key as a new standard for public ledgers. The authentication method uses one-time keys, and a proof of the next public-private key pair (proof-of-public-key). It is based on the intuition that it would be a good idea not to rely only on asymmetric cryptography to secure accounts.

The next public-private key pair is kept hidden until a transaction is made, and the only time to attack the asymmetric cryptography is the brief time-window between when a transaction has been broadcasted to the miners, to when it has been included in the state, letting the asymmetric cryptography do what it does best (proof-of-ownership).

Proof-of-public-key uses both hash functions, symmetric cryptography, and asymmetric cryptography, and distributes security over multiple types of cryptography.

Audit, review, etc

Feel free to review the authentication method and to audit the vault contract

wow bro great i will resteem so that it can spread further

with account abstraction on Ethereum then it could be possible to have Teikhos up and running on Ethereum pretty easily, for any type of transaction

Teikhos authentication is wonderful, loving your blog sir, belive me you will be a superstar here, following you.

cool being open source can really help :)

that's what the next generation cold storage should be like :)

It's not for cold storage, it's a new signature standard. The vault is just a way for anyone to test it

Teikhos authentication method is amazing, such am amazing content with amazing research, glad to be your follower.

this is going to be great thanks for sharing lets see how steemians use it

I do believe in your research buddy !It sure seems like a pretty good secure cold storage!

I'm a non-starter on the math behind EC cryptography - can you dumb this down a bit? How is one key pair related to another? How can someone that doesn't possess the seed that generated a series of keys prove that any two keys were derived from the same seed?

there are no seeds, you just include a proof of the next public-private key pair in your transaction

Teikhos authentication is amazing,newbee here,your content is awesome,following you.have a great day.
