Blockchain-city in the desert

Last week, we told you about the Free Republic of Liberland, which was founded by Vít Jedlička.
As you remember, this country will be the first decentralized and operating DAO. At least, that’s what Mr. Jedlička says.

However, just the other day, The Business Insider reported, that cryptocurrency millionaire Jeffrey Burns from the United States will build a blockchain city in the desert in the state of Nevada using smart technologies.
Burns has already started to carry out his plans: he bought 67 thousand acres (27.1 thousand hectares) land in the Nevada desert, and next year the construction of an innovative city is to be started.

Burns himself described his project as a “new type of residential and business community”.
Blockchain technology will be used here in residential buildings, schools and technology park. Renewable energy sources will also be involved: solar and wind energy will replace traditional one. Residents of the blockchain-city (approximately several thousand people) will use electric vehicles, and delivery will be carried out with drones, BI clarifies.

By the way, the place is located near the campuses of Google, Apple, Switch and Tesla. And according to The Business Insider, Burns has already invested $ 300 million (19.8 billion rubles).
