Majority of Ecuadorians get compromised due to major data breach

From financial data to family tree records, most of the people living in Ecuador are currently vulnerable with a lot of their data exposed to the general public due to an Elasticsearch server leaking their personal information.

Up to 20 million people were said to have been compromised in this major data leak.

As of this moment, there is a certain acknowledgement on the part of the authorities that proper investigation has commenced for proper scrutiny into the actual nature of the leak and there are even hints that an arrest has been made in connection to the breach.

In this century, data is as precious to everyone as oil was to J. P Getty during his time, which is why a breach like this could draw uo major concerns from every stakeholder and interested party.

In the wrong hands, information extracted from the leak can be used in a number of malicious ways which would adversely affect the people involved if not the economy as a whole.
