FIRST ROBOT EVER TO DO A BACKFLIP, is this the beginning of robots one day replacing us? lol
Each time one of the main robotic researchers shows another video of their diligent hard work, people on the web respond with a blend of awesomeness and horrified. While this robot Atlas doing backflips or somersaults is a great deal of craziness & difficult to do. Control, for one, represents a major obstacle, since it's even more difficult to duplicating the human hand. Also, battery life is a nightmare with all the weight balancing to account for. However, who knows, possibly one day humanoids will flip into our lives, or in any event at the Olympics.
