Is Harmony OS a threat to IOS and Andriod or it has come to stay just like they did?

This question might not be answered now. There is a lot of time to find out. The OS is still pretty new and hasn't been tested in mobile devices yet, but still, Huawei will be releasing their long awaiting operating system soon. It was shown in the last conference they held in China.

Ten years! Yes, Huawei has been building this for good ten years, so it wasn't a rush as people assumed. The drama that happened this year between the president of the United States, Donald Trump and Huawei devices actually made the device more popular instead of degrading it. The fight for 5G handling was rumored to be the cause of the drama. iPhone devices were the first to get access to 4G and are trying to be the first for 5G, too. Unfortunately for them, Huawei is leading in the invention of the network. The network promises to be three times faster than 4G; in fact it will do much more than just surfing the net. Lots of things you won't imagine.

It's no news that Huawei was banned in most places in the United States for a reason I'm not sure yet. The 5G rift might be the cause, but according to Trump, they are spying or doing something bad with their technology. Since Google is a product of the United States, they announced a possibility of disabling their services on Huawei devices. This motivated Huawei to develop their own operating system, Harmony OS. Well, the development didn't just start this year. Like I said, it has been in works for ten years and would be released to devices latest next year. It seems they saw this day coming or they've always wanted to have their own operating system, we never can tell, but how do you see this OS? Will it be better and preferable to IOS and Android?

Just so we are clear, Huawei still wants to keep working with Google, so it seems the Harmony OS is a plan B. Only the Huawei P30 pro has been declared to receive the next version of Google OS, the Andriod Q. Huawei wouldn't want to depend on Andriod to continue operating, so the need for their own operating system. There is a big chance it will be released this year. The Huawei Developers' conference hosted in China revealed the OS will be open source. Developers will be able to create things on it and twist it to their own taste. You don't need to worry about the Apps that will be on it, mobile apps developers can easily build a version for Harmony OS. The OS will first be tested on smart watches, in-vehicle systems, smart speakers and some devices before it gets to mobile phones.

Harmony OS isn't competing with other operating systems like they said, but we know it's not true. Sooner of later, people will prefer one over the other. All Chinese phones might choose Harmony over Google and we know there are many Chinese phones in the market using andriod. Building on OS that will come in comparison with IOS and Google was once said to be difficult and impossible, but Harmony OS is already making waves even though it hasn't been launched fully. According to Huawei, one line of code from the OS might do what a hundred lines of code from Andriod does.

Well, let's keep our fingers crossed and watch how it will all play out. There might be a install option for all Huawei devices. Other devices can use it, too, but I guess their new and upcoming devices will enable it if they want to. But for Huawei users, this might be a good news.

Will it surpass Andriod and IOS? We will find out, won't we?
