From Ghana to Korea for ITU Telecom World!
I’m super excited about being tasked by Ghana’s Ministry of Communications (MoC) to coordinate a delegation of the country’s leading tech companies to attend ITU Telecom World in Busan, Korea in September 2017.
ITU (International Telecommunications Union) is an agency of the United Nations whose purpose is to coordinate telecommunication operations and services throughout the world.
The ITU Telecom World Conference first launched in 1971 as the leading exhibition and forum for the global ICT industry, bringing together public and private representatives to showcase innovative solutions, collaborate and engage in high-level dialogue on the major challenges facing the sector.
As a member of ITU, Ghana will be participating to showcase the growth of its ICT industry. As founder of the Tech in Ghana Conference, it’s a natural pleasure for me to be selecting (and soon-to-be travelling with) some of the country’s most enterprising companies for the event; alongside an entourage of representatives from the MoC’s agencies.
Don’t know much about ITU? (Neither did I until a month ago). Take a look at the video below.
