Avoided Tears

I am an observer. I have a friend going through this, and I came up with this, and hope to share it with him later. I wish I could share it with the lady in question too, but she is not within reach. Might as well send it to her one day, maybe when they are back together again. Tears can sometimes give you strength.

He looked everywhere hoping to scream your name
It's hard for you to hear because of your new found fame
I guess, to you all this is nothing short of a game
A heart is involved, take the step and stop finding fault, it is lame
He knows better now, you, he is not trying to tame

He opened his arms wide open, but to another you ran
To others you showed your excitement and even shared your can
Every joke he tried to share with you, you ban
He really wants to make you happy, better than Peter pan
He took it all in stride because that's what he is, a man

Life they say, isn't a bed of roses
When one door opens another closes
I know this, when friends slammed the door on each other's faces
Each moved in different direction and places
I stood there and wondered if this is the end of those phases

You pretend to the world you are strong
But in your heart you know where you belong
Even if you point fingers and sound the gong
This isn't just about who is right or wrong
You failed to make it all better with just tiny effort, for long

Many times we hold on to our desires to be right
This has proven to even worsen most of our plight
And more so, when we go out and see the person in sight
Our heart breaks when we cannot go and hug them tight
We resolve to crying in the dark rather than seek them in the bright

Reach out to those who matter to you
Especially if they leave the door open for you
Offenses comes in life and that's a lesson for you
Picking them up everytime isn't safe for your heart and you
Let it all go and out, and to your heart be true.
