VANITY PUBLISHING IS THE KEY FOR...

...unlocking the gates of Hell. At least, this is the case in my region and country.

Now if there any vanity publishers who are pushing the quality instead of money, I will gladly put some apologies on the huge amount of shit I am just about to launch at vanity loving authors, editors, and all other participants in this ghoulish cycle of literal abortions.

Let's be clear – the concept is OK in its core idea – you participate or pay for the total cost, someone publishes your work and distribute it through sales channels. He can also put some advertising to spice up the whole adventure – and there it is! You have your well-deserved book, while the publisher has its resources without (almost) any investments. If you are lucky, there will be some contract signing, so you can put another piece of paper on that book pile you paid for – right before you decide to wipe your ass with some fine print in the next decade of your personal denial.

Whats wrong with you boy? Some evil publisher touched you where it smells funny?

Well, yes and no. I participated in my first book costs, and there was a healthy dose of traditional and self-publishing projects after that to keep my sanity on an acceptable level. Now I won't rant about my mistakes (I already did it in some previous posts). I will preach about the uncanny need for achieving the writer's career among unready people, how the vanity assholes make their dreams come true, and why they shoot the national literacy while flipping the bird at our faces (with their bloody hands).

As you can probably notice, English is not my native language. I know it just enough to write without translation. During that process, I am completely aware that my writing skills are sufficient for the blog, but far below the quality fiction requirements. One of the evil sides of this story lies in the fact that functional illiterate people often dont mind about this fact – because they are not aware of anything except their twisted vision of themselves. In that image, they are scoring the Westeros chicks or squeezing their crotch while plotting another vampire saga soft porn. They dont think about Hemingway, Salinger, Bulgakov or other dead people. All they think is how to put more words into the endless process of shitscribing every cheap impulse inside of them.

Hidden fun fact #1: Every second one person decide to pursue his/her writing career instead of going on the diet.

And Vanity guys know this! They will promise you perfect contracts, full house treatment, book promo nights and all other shit without mentioning that you are actually paying for that. They are making this game even harder because some of their victims never give up. So, in a moment or two, we are overloaded with bad books and information that spreads like cancer via social media and other available channels. And the publishers – they are ok with that because they already took the money. And because of this (among the many other factors) independent, small publishers are almost exterminated species.

Hidden fun fact #2: Most of the Vanity publishers are time agents from the future where shit evolved to the sentient level.

We can call it free market, we can say that there is no significant difference in the self-publishing – but we cannot forget to talk about ethics. Vanity publishing can be fair if it is realized responsibly. Just like using the Force. Every bad book is a bullet aimed at the society and culture. And no one is safe - It will destroy the publishers, bad writers, good writers, readers and their horizons of expectations, etc. So what can we do about it?

Hidden fun fact #3: Every five minutes there is one overweight writer who is posting shit and blame publishers for his own failures.

It costs 300€ to publish a book. Vanity shitwriting writers pays to vanity publishers to publish their shitwritings. Vanity publishers doesn't reads the scripts. You can see it after numerious writing, stylish and printing errors in their books. Actiualy, they doesn't read anything. I know a guy who works at book publisher. You know how the publisher works? Just republish old well known editions or editions that has a good rating at forign markets. And he told me at once: "I have no time to read anything".
