I recently went for a quick walk along the Highline in NYC, a cool park, which is built on old unused train tracks in the Meat Packing district, and came across a few new art pieces and this is one of them.
It is called The Dig of No Body is by Mariechen Danz (b. 1980, Dublin, Ireland) who is based in Berlin who researches representations of the body, and creates pieces like this where the Human body comes across as a contradictory structure and scene of conflict.

It comes across like a sort of mix of soil samples, and is made from Copper, plaster, bronze, ground glass, resin, soil, cement, shells, plastic trash, clay, marble, horn, steel, sand, semi-precious stones, wood, aluminium, Coal, Steel base,
The cool thing about the Highline is that every few months they change the art on Display so it is always cool to revisit
I really liked this piece, but art is in the eye of the Beholder, would love to know what you think

I like it! Neat mixture of materials that fits the sculpture well. Nice post @tattoodjay
Thanks and it is one of my favorite art pieces I have seen for a while
I love art and I love artists that are free to express themselves through their art. This piece can serve as a great philosophical discussion on what is breaking a man, what makes a person and so on. It looks great and it really makes you think about the parts that are so different and yet make you who you are. Great photo of it, kudos.
@zen-art I love your take on this piece I thought similar but could never have expressed it so well
This is awesome. I love art that makes one think. Makes you stop, take a look, maybe a second look. So nice they change up the art, it makes your walks so enjoyable, you never know what you will see when you go back again! Thanks @tatoodjay!
@birdsinparadise Yes this piece really makes one think :)
