Queensland Flood
As you all know I recently visited Townsville to assist with the flood recovery, for respect to the people of Townsville I wont be uploading any ravaged homes or places as I wish to remain respectful. I wouldn't like people doing that to me and I'm guessing you're the same.
So please instead enjoy some of the beautiful photos I took of the community and I would highly recommend booking a holiday to Townsville to help support the local community and business.
I was fortunate enough to stay on the beautiful magnetic island which saw me catch the ferry into town every morning. I did quite enjoy it and it was quite fresh and definitely beat Melbournes peak hour traffic. I also went for a run when I could after work to see the island sites.
Townsville is a really magical place and the beautiful colours of the setting sky made me believe I was somewhere totally different.
Work was quite challenging as we worked 16 hour shifts to maxamise the people we could help and the work we could do. I was with a great group of people so every moment was worth it. Townsville locals we're wonderful also ❤
It was just an absolutely magical experience.
It was incredibly humid and hot though, being from Melbourne where it is a lot drier and cooler was a challenge.
