Hello! I'm here again on this Thursday to make a throwback about a bimalleolar fracure I had last year o(TヘTo)

Bimalleolar fractures are bone ruptures located on ankles, in both lateral and medium malleolus, these bones are located on both sides of the ankle and their ends are those prominiences that we all know as our ankle bones ฅ(•ㅅ•❀)ฅ

This kind of ruptures usually occurs for over-rotating the ankle and they are pretty common in people over 60 years old (／￣(ｴ)￣)／

Said that, you may be asking "How did you even get one?" ＼(º □ º |||)/ The story is short but worth of consideration in case you are going to ride a motorcycle as a passenger.

I was riding my cousin's motorcycle since he was going on the same way as me to the center of the city 〜(￣▽￣〜) The ride was fine, but in some point when there was like 100mt left I moved my foot from its place and it got stuck in the wheel rim and it made a huge rotation movement before I could pull it out.

We weren't going so fast, so the damage wasn't much, I only had 2cm deep cut on my heel, the fracture and a messed up boot.

At the moment of seeing the X-Ray image I didn't believe it would need lots of caring and treatments, but they told me this lesion needed surgery and surgical implants 〣( ºΔº )〣 I was extremely nervous because I have a huge fobia over injections, needles, scalpels, etc. Here is an X-Ray of my fractured ankle:

[Al momento de ver la imagen de Rayos-X no creí que necesitaría muchos cuidados y tratamientos, pero me dijeron que esta lesión necesitaba cirugía e implantes quirúrgicos 〣( ºΔº )〣Estaba extremadamente nerviosa porque tengo una gran fobia a las inyecciones, agujas, bisturíes, etc. Aquí está unos Rayos-X de mi tobillo fracturado:

The surgery was successful despite of my huge anxiety (=⌒‿‿⌒=) You can find videos of how this kind of surgery is made on Youtube.

After hospitalization, constant analgesics, surgery and antibiotics (Which were almost a traumatic experience to find due to the crisis of my country) I spent few months using a wheelchair and crutches on my daily life until I was finally told to start rehabilitation and start walking again.

[Después de la hospitalización, constantes analgésicos, cirugía y antibióticos (Los cuales fueron casi una experiencia traumática de conseguir dada la crisis en mi país) pasé unos meses usando una silla de ruedas y muletas en mi día a día hasta que finalmente me dijeron que podía comenzar rehabilitación y comenzar a caminar de nuevo.]

It took me 2-3 months to get used to walk again and 3-4 months until I could get into jogging or running since I left the crutches behind. This pic is from last december (ノ°∀°)ノ⌒･:.｡. .｡.:･゜ﾟ･*☆

[Me tomó unos 2 o 3 meses acostumbrarme a caminar de nuevo y unos 3 o 4 meses hasta que pude volver a trotar o correr desde que dejé de usar las muletas. Esta foto es del diciembre pasado (ノ°∀°)ノ⌒･:.｡. .｡.:･゜ﾟ･*☆]

This accident was a year and a half ago and now I feel fully recovered despite I have a little flexibility limitation which I experiment while doing some yoga poses. However, I think this limitation will dissappear when I got the implants removed. Here's a picture of how these implants are placed on my ankle:

I actually don't know when is this going to be since medicines and healthcare are pretty difficult as Venezuelan crisis increases, but it's not big deal at the moment because the implants don't bother me unless there is a very cold weather (っ˘̩﹏˘̩)っ

[Actualmente no sé cuándo será ésto, dado que las medicinas y cuidados de la salud son bastante dificultosos mientras la crisis venezolana aumenta, pero no es gran cosa en este momento, porque los implantes no me molestan a menos que haya un clima realmente frío (っ˘̩﹏˘̩)っ]
