Eating food off a SUITCASE! at 'TANK Q' Bar & Cafe || Plus+ a fun video!
First time tasteeming!
Oh my my my! This is my first time writing on Tasteem! Not sure how it works exactly but I'm so excited to give it a try as I LOVE food and writing reviews about restaurant and food itself are sooooo my thing.
Let's just get started already! :)
TankQ Bar & Cafe
I am currently travelling around in Taiwan and just right before arriving to the country, I made a post calling out Steemians living in Taiwan. It worked! It did work! I met up with a few of them and one of them, @catwomanteresa was actually the one who picked this café and gather us all Steemians.
The place located in such a local area as I didn't see much of the foreigners at all. None actually! I also didn't expect the café would be something ABNORMAL (in a good way, I mean).
First second I saw the place I literally doing this face (O.o) and yes, said 'Whoa!' Look at it just from outside, don't you think it's gonna be something unusual..? Can you see the minions from outside here? Two of them made of tires.. and the suitcase on the ceiling..

It's like you dine in a cartoon museum!
The minute I walked it, I was real wowed. 'WOW!' It's something else.. it's homey but it's a really kiddy and cartoonized kinda way.. Lots of trinkets and gadgets.
Beer bottles, bicycle and so on..
I also love the fact that they're so detail oriented. This was pretty neat with all the beer bottles and bicycle.. Not much you can do with them but you know, they look kinda cool LOL
Eating food off a suitcase and a container model..
I actually wasn't really able to order the food myself as the menu was all in Chinese so I went for whatever the friends ordered.. Fun thing about dining here, besides serving food on normal plates, they do serve food in a small suitcase (Yes, like, Mr. Bean's one) and also in a container model..
- Western food set
Ham, toast, fries, burger patty, salad and mashed potatos.. Not much of the difference from other places.. but hey! It's served in a suitcase!
- Dough balls with sweeten condense milk topped with ground peanut
I loveeeeeeee this one a lot as it's a bit crispy outside, firm and chewy inside with a sweetness from condense milk (That I personally like..) and a ground peanut.. It's just sooooo good!
- Fries

The food served without sharing plates and cutlery so that 's probably an excuse for them to just have this little corner for the cutlery stand! Add on some cuteness, that is!
Now it's time and there! We sat at the spot close to the wall under hundreds of light they got..
- Drinks
All the drinks come in a cute cup and served with a piece of chocolate cake. No, I didn't expect that coming either. What a surprise!

Here are what they offer. Though, it's all in Chinese. If you don't understand the language and don't have someone who do going with then, good luck! :P
Super heros Bathroom

We're all done with the food so let me show you how simply cute the bathroom is.. They use the same type of containers that they use with food as their toilet paper box.. and have a funny photo of all the super heros' facing the wall..

Outside fun
Not just only inside the café, the area outside also had some gimmicks for just to either take photos or play around like a kid!
Price : 285 NT$ (= $9.26) per person
Final thought : The food is alright. Loved the small little dough balls the most! The café itself though is hard to beat! All the decoration and all the collections it got is awesome and sure unique.
Yes! They have Capt America's shield too! Go play sometimes when you're in Taipei!

I love the uniqueness of this place. Very cool/different from you run of the mill eatery. They've got a good business model there and should having all able to go eat out of suitcases everywhere one day. How was the burger patty?

Well if you deliver a charming and interesting environment to eat at like this one I guess you don't need to have the best food to keep customers coming back for the experience, I would.
