Holiday Hi-tea at Vin's Place

Hi Tasteemians, I'm so happy for your support and comments about how you liked my posts. I'm addicted to posting great places for food and drinks. If you wanna open a restaurant, you may take tips for the posts.

Today, it is the 2nd day of Lunar New Year Celebration and many cafes / restaurants are closed. But this restaurant will be opened throughout the holiday. This is VIN'S PLACE.

Located 20 minutes from the city, opposite a Futsal arena (indoor soccer) in Kolombong BSA, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

The outside looked like an office. Theme color used were yellow, brown and gray. It is good to know that they try to make space for customers who prefer to sit outdoors. When I went inside, I was surprised!

At first sight

Looked left, there was a photo booth. Kawaii neh... So cute!!!

My son, @flyingkittie, took a seat at the cozy corner at the right side. There were mirrors all around to visually make the space larger. Good idea.

The further left has more seats and more mirrors.

Counter & Menu

The counter looked crowded with a free water station. They didn't hide their cups, saucers and stuffs, for sure.

We can pay by Boost app. Just scan the QR code.

The breakfast menu is served all day long. I love having breakie food at night sometimes. It's 3pm and I ordered the Ham & Egg & Cheese Grilled Sandwich, added on Sweet Potato Fries = RM14.00 (approx. USD3.50)

I ordered from here the Cold Green Tea Latte RM12.00 (USD3.00).

The Green Salad was calling for me here... RM10.00 (approx. Usd2.50).

Food is Served

Very delicious and crunchy - both grilled sandwich and the sticks. The taste melted in my mouth and sent me to paradise. Ham + egg + cheese! And I rarely enjoy cheese.

I really loved the way used many types of veggies to make this Green Salad, the dressing was very nice - roasted sesame seed oil with a little mayo.

The little platters for condiments were so cute, I couldn't leave them out of my review. They looked like little pans.

You can say that I'm a newbie but these utensils were black stainless steels!!!

Green Tea Latte was beautifully brewed. All their drinks were unsweetened. You may add your own sugar at the condiments station. That's very healthy.

One more thing I really love was that they discouraged customers to use plastic straws. Hence, we skipped using straws too.

I can't leave without taking advantage of the photo booth. Yeehaa!

IN CONCLUSION

A place worth trying out when you need some comfort food... When you need some quiet moments... The owners served us themselves and they were friendly but quiet. The food and drinks came quite fast, great service.
