A sweet Sunday at Bar Principe
One of the best pastry shops, assorted and with a great variety of desserts, is called Bar Principe. It is probably the oldest pastry shop in Trani, my parents used to go there when they were kids, and although decades have passed, it is still number one.
Entering the interior, it is always a wonder the view of the shop windows full of sweets. The patisserie serves exclusively sweet mignon, a strategic choice to entice customers to eat a little of everything. My favorite dessert is called monkfish and is a puff pastry filled with cream and cream.
But many are the desserts that deserve to be eaten: creamed babbá, creamy coffee mushroom, cream tarts and fresh fruit! You really are spoiled for choice. However, it is possible to choose a wide variety of almond or butter desserts, as well as chocolates and ice cream cakes.
The Bar Principe is certainly a place forbidden to those on a diet!

Una delle migliori pasticcerie, assortite e con una grande varietà di dolci, si chiama Bar Principe. È probabilmente la pasticceria più antica di Trani, i miei genitori ci andavano quando erano ragazzini, e nonostante siano passati decenni, è sempre la numero uno.
Entrando all'interno, è sempre una meraviglia la vista delle vetrine piene di dolci. La pasticceria serve dolce esclusivamente mignon, scelta strategica per invogliare i clienti a mangiare un po' di tutto. Il mio dolce preferito è chiamato coda di rospo ed è una pasta sfoglia ripiena di crema e panna.
Molti però sono i dolci che meritano di essere mangiati: babbá alla panna, fungo all crema di caffè, crostate alla crema e frutta fresca! C'è davvero l'imbarazzo della scelta. È possibile però scegliere un'ampia varietà di dolci di mandorla o al burro, oltre a cioccolatini e torte gelato.
Il Bar Principe è certamente un luogo vietato a chi è a dieta!!
