Bali Food Guide - #34 Warung Kicen, Berawa
Warung Kicen directly next to our Guesthouse is a classic indonesian warung which also serves chinese and western food. We have dinner there at least once a week. The food is pretty good and you can´t beat their prices.
Warung Kicen direkt neben unserem Gästehaus ist eine klassischer indonesischer Warung, welcher auch chinesische und westliche Gerichte serviert. Dort essen wir mindestens einmal pro Woche zu Abend. Das Essen ist ziemlich gut und die Preise sind unschlagbar.
Like any other indonesian warung the restaurant itself is very basic and simple. You won´t find any fancy decoration or comfortable chairs in such restaurants. But most of the times the food is awesome.
Wie jedes andere indonesische Restaurant ist auch das Restaurant sehr einfach und schlicht. In solchen Restaurants finden Sie keine ausgefallene Dekoration oder bequeme Stühle. Aber meistens ist das Essen super.
The menu offers all the classic indonesian dishes like Nasi Goreng, Mi Goreng or Gado Gado, which are also the cheapest on the menu. They also serve some burgers, fries and they make pretty good spaghetti as well.
Yesterday evening we order a classic Cap Cay, Crispy Honey Chicken in a spicy chilli sauce and two portions of rice.
Together with a bottle of coke we paid around 5€, which is still not the cheapest for indonesia. A Nasi Goreng for example will cost you 1,30€.
Anyway, the food was absolutely delicious and the portions big enough for both of us. I definitely recommend to try out this little warung.
Die Speisekarte bietet alle klassischen indonesischen Gerichte wie Nasi Goreng, Mi Goreng oder Gado Gado, welche auch die günstigsten auf der Speisekarte sind. Außerdem servieren sie auch Burger, Pommes und machen nebenbei auch ziemlich gute Spaghetti.
Gestern Abend bestellen wir ein klassisches Cap Cay, knuspriges Honey Chicken in einer scharfen Chilisauce und zwei Portionen Reis.
Zusammen mit einer Flasche Cola haben wir rund 5 € bezahlt, was für Indonesien immer noch nicht das billigste ist. Ein Nasi Goreng kostet zum Beispiel 1,30 €.
Wie auch immer, das Essen war absolut lecker und die Portionen groß genug für uns beide. Ich empfehle auf jeden Fall, dieses kleine Warung auszuprobieren.
