Tarot Tuesdays! and a dTube debut! My general 5 card spread for the week Feb 20th - 27th

I’ve been practicing tarot privately for about 15 years but I'm finally ready to get out there and help others with my cards!

New this week I am including a d.Tube quick video to go along with this reading. It's just me talking about each of the cards and their meanings to me. I hope you will all give me some feedback on this idea and let me know if you liked it, hated it or did not even watch it!

A Bit About My Deck

My deck The Fairy Ring, (available here: http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/cards/fairy-ring-oracle/) is based in Celtic myths and legends.

As with the traditional tarot, my cards have four suits - but are represented by the four seasons. There are four court cards for each season which have a general meaning as well as point to a specific type of real person. Also there are eight festival cards which represent the chief fairy feasts/holidays which have general meanings but can also point to specific times of the year.

As you can tell from the title, it’s a fairy based deck but the unique thing is each card has a real mythology behind it. Some are so familiar, most of us will recognize them - others I’d never heard of before opening this book.

I’ll provide the book’s interpretation as well as my understanding.

1. The White Lady | Lady of Spring

Book’s Interpretation - Reversed

The White Lady reversed indicates that you are feeling ungrounded, rootless and adrift. Not knowing which direction to take. She may also be a real person: a shallow, superficial young woman who only cares about herself. She may seem to be a friend but she is using you for her own ends.

My Thoughts

It’s never easy to read this card reversed. When the White Lady comes through upside down she is pointing out feelings of being lost. Do you have multiple paths in front of you right now or maybe it seems like you’ve stepped off the path completely? If you’re in need of guidance don’t be afraid to ask - we all have a place and purpose, you will find yours! If you know a young woman like the one in the description please be weary and mindful. Keep your boundaries tight and your eyes open.

2. Selkie - Nine of Autumn

Book’s Interpretation

The selkie indicates the ability to adapt to any situation and any environment. Her lesson is a balanced approach and the need for fluidity, movement and good coordination.

My Thoughts

The selkie represents transformations and the ability to adapt to any environment. Her message is one of praise but also she warns not to become overly confident when multitasking or moving between social groups - remember to pay attention to details especially if you’re moving from task to task, small slip ups could lead to major miscommunications.

3.Banshee | Four of Autumn

Book’s Interpretation

The Banshee brings bad news or a warning of disaster. She is telling you that others are working behind the scenes to do you a disservice. Beware of evil gossip about you, and treachery by disloyal friends or family.

My Thoughts

A banshee believe it or not is not a soul sucking, scary/screeching being with no purpose. The Celts believed each noble family had their own banshee and she screeches (like a fire alarm) when bad energy or a disaster is coming. Take heed to her warning. Use your intuition and trust it, if you've got a gut feeling that someone is untrustworthy go with it!

4. The Green Lady | Lady of Summer

Book’s Interpretation

When the gentle Green Lady appears in the cards she indicates growth, progress, moving forward, expansion, vitality, energy, virility and potency. She may point to a real person: an attractive woman who is clever, hard working, loyal, resourceful, passionate and quick to respond emotionally either with love or anger.

My Thoughts

The Green Lady is all about growth of existing ‘seeds’, expansion of ideas, unbounding energies, romantic passion and virility. You will see whatever projects you are working on bloom and spread like wildflowers in summer. Perhaps you’ve been working on a relationship - you will start to reap the benefits of all that hard work.This is a great time to relax and just enjoy the beauty of what you’ve earned! If you feel connected to the real person description I would say seek out this woman, take her out and enjoy her presence. She may have just the words of wisdom you need to fertilize that idea,project or dream!

5.Changeling | Three of Autumn

Book’s Interpretation - Reversed

The Changeling reversed suggests that a younger person will surprise you with his or her insights into a situation. You would do well to listen to this person’s advice.

My Thoughts

In children, the link to source is stronger - the veil is thinner. It is my belief that the universe, Source, angels, spirit guides -whichever- can slip messages to us through children. Look out for synchronicities in the comments from children in your life. Don’t brush it off as coincidence or just “odd” or “funny” - take heed to those words.
