Why do big fast food chains make money.

in #takeaway5 years ago

hi guys.

One thing I have learned over the years of working in the fast food industry was there is big money to make.

I started working at burger king at the age of 17 and it was fast paced and good fun, it fit my life style and payed an ok wage.

I was taught by the company about speed of service and quality, and this has played a big part in my life working for other companies.

I have looked into other things that make big fast food chains money and I can see why they do.

If you order from pizza hut, you are only buying pizza that is what they are known for, if you order from burger king you only get burgers and same goes for toby carvery.

They all have a business model that works so well, a nice simple menu that is easy to make and fast to get to the customers.

And this is where my business model comes into play, I have taken all the information from what I have learned over the last 20 years and put it into what i think is the perfect menu that even a trained monkey could do.

The food is simple, it is that easy to produce it in bulk that costing will stay cheap, for me to buy and that will then save the customers money too.

Speed of service, no one these days want to wait for their food, you don't walk into mcdonalds and wait 20 minutes for a burger, so this needs to be the same in my takeaway, you order and get it fast.

I am aiming to hire drivers that can get the food to the customer in 20 minutes from them placing their order.

And something that I am thinking about is something that @daveks has mentioned, that is if you don't get your food with in 50 minutes you get 50% of your total bill.

I was thinking it was crazy to offer something like this to the public but in all fairness after a long hard think about it I am really thinking that it will work.

Everything need to be faced paced, from the ordering to cooking to delivery and that is something that I know can be added into the business model to make it better for everyone.

Starting a new business of this kind is a little scary but I know with a lot of hard work and determination I could make this one of the best in the industry.

The great thing about my food product is that it is healthier than buying a pizza, you have vegetables, you have meat and the only thing really I can seen been unhealthy on your plate would be the yorkshire puddings and stuffing which are all optional.

the other thing about this takeaway is it opens the doors to all customers, if you are celiac don't have yorkshire and stuffing, everything else in the shop will be fitted to their needs.
vegetarian can eat of the veggie option and that will keep them happy, children and the old folk can order a small and that will make them happy too.
We also have dieting clubs around here such as slimming world, I have been a few times in my life and everyone complains about not been able to have a takeaway, they can count in their sins for the extras and everything else veg wise is free for them to eat.

There is an option for everybody and that I think that this will also appeal to everyone including their nans :D

So in conclusion big companies make money from speed, repetition and been known for their food, they have more than one outlet but this is something that can be done later in time, if the business is successful then there is no doubt that I will be opening another one to go with the first.
