Introducing me.

Hi steemit community

I'm super excited to be here to read and write some great content.

So I am a programmer and founder of a tech company and I was listening to Jason Calacanis podcast (This Week in Startups) where Rob May mentioned steemit and said people should check it out.

May I encourage you to research utopian.io. It is a relatively new site. App developers are encouraged to submit ideas for making Steemit better; and, are paid for their efforts in many cases.

Keep this thought central as a new Steemian.

Be very wary of people asking you to pay for this or that. While many are legit, as many are shady; especially people inviting you to pay for your votes.

In the next few weeks you will feel as if you're in school, learning all there is about the platform. It's pretty addictive knowledge.

They wouldn't ask; but, may I recommend adding @lexiconical and @jerrybanfield to your list of follows for consistent, and up-to-date postings.

Lastly, I will recommend @tipU as a way of giving a tip to people whose work you consider worthy beyond the up vote. Of course, do your own research, make your own decisions!

I'm leaving you with a tip! to let you see how that works :+).

Ok, I will definitely add them and yourself to my followers list. I am really enjoying reading about what this platform has to offer and there does seem to be more things all the time - ie I didn't know of the tip feature - will read about that next.

Lucky I like to learn new things right ;)
