Learning about Life by Learning about the Plant World

I have been struggling to find a way to introduce myself for the last few days. Do you want to hear about my arts background as a co-owner of a circus and on tour with Cirque du Soleil? What about my years in corporate with RealNetworks--back when they were called Progressive Networks--and Microsoft? Then there was the period on stage as an actor, singer and dancer or the fact that I used to teach Kabbalah and Sacred Geometry, is that most interesting?

But rather than take you down those roads, I thought it best to introduce you to two things:

1. I live in Damanhur Spiritual EcoCommunity. Located in Italy, it is the largest community in Europe. No, this does not mean I am a hippie, we are about as non-hippie as you can get, though we do care about the environment, have a strong connection to divinities, and live in houses of between 8 to 30 people--mine has 24. In addition to that, we love technology, practice alchemy, and our research tends to form bridges between spirituality and science. Which takes me to my second point...
   
2. I study plant intelligence and plant consciousness. Yep, you read right, I study how plants affect human health (bioutilization) and how to better develop social structures and products based on nature (biomimicry). Specifically, I work with a device that allows plants to make music, which has been shown to have health benefits on us and allows for some amazing interspecies jams between humans and plants! It is called--for the record, I did not name it--the Music of the Plants.

So there you have me in a nutshell: musician, alchemist, circus freak, technologist, plant geek, divine being...

oh, and did I tell you that we also build an underground cathedral where I live that is considered the 8th Wonder of the World?
