Los polluelos ya abrieron los ojos // The chicks have already opened their eyes.

Los polluelos de mirlo siguen creciendo. Me asombra lo rápido que lo hacen. Ya abrieron los ojos hace una semana y las plumas crecen muy rápido.
Siempre están acurrucados unos juntos a otros y, por ahora, solo abren los ojos muy negros y brillantes y me miran sin inmutarse. No se asustan, tampoco abren el pico.
Mi hijo, me bromea diciendo que los pollitos se van a terminar creyendo que su padre es un IPhone.
A los polluelos solo me acerco a verlos una vez al día. Les hago una foto alargando el brazo y metiéndolo entre las ramas y hojas, un poco a ciegas, sin ver muy claro donde disparo. Solo me acerco sigiloso cuando observo que los padres han salido, para no asustarles. Tengo miedo de que los aborrezcan.

Desde mi ventana puedo ver el trajín que se llevan los padres, que cada vez tienen una mayor actividad. A veces, incluso, hacen turnos. Uno entra cuando el otro sale porque llevan una gran actividad. Van a quedar agotados.

Los mirlos son pájaros del tamaño de una paloma. Según wikipedia, el macho es negro y la hembra gris pero, en este caso los dos son negros. Tienen un pico alargado de un color amarillo-anaranjado, aunque uno de ellos lo tiene amarillo pálido, supongo que sera la hembra pues es un poco mas pequeña.

Estoy muy emocionado y asombrado con desarrollo tan rápido. Hace sólo dos semanas que eran huevos !

The blackbird chicks continue to grow. It amazes me how quickly they do it. They opened their eyes a week ago and the feathers grow very fast.
They are always huddled together and, for now, they only open their eyes very black and bright and look at me without flinching. They do not get scared, they do not open their beaks either.
My son jokes that the chicks will end up believing that his father is an iPhone.
I only go to the chicks to see them once a day. I take a picture of them, extending my arm and putting it between the branches and leaves, a little blindly, without seeing very clearly where I shoot. I only approach stealthy when I see that the parents have left, so as not to scare them. I'm afraid they're hated.

From my window I can see the bustle of the parents, who are increasingly active. Sometimes, even, they take turns. One enters when the other leaves because they have a great activity. They will be exhausted.

Blackbirds are birds the size of a pigeon. According to wikipedia, the male is black and the female gray, but in this case both are black. They have an elongated peak of a yellow-orange color, although one of them has pale yellow, I guess it will be the female because it is a little smaller.

I am very excited and amazed with such rapid development. It was only two weeks ago that they were eggs!

Viendo ahora las fotos. Es muy curioso observar el detalle de como salen las plumas. En las primeras fotos podemos ver como el cuerpo está cubierto de unos pequeños tubos. Luego, progresivamente estos se van retrayendo y la pluma va apareciendo. Se ve muy bien.

Now watching the photos. It is very curious to observe the detail of how the feathers come out. In the first pictures we can see how the body is covered with small tubes. Then, progressively these are retracting and the pen is appearing. Looks great.
