This interesting piece called "Mount Vernon Set" has four Movements, and it is inspired by the Mount Vernon where George Washington lived:

• 1.Entrada
• 2.Promemade
• 3.Minuet
• 4.Quadrille

But first let's talk about Alexander Reinagle, the composer.
He was born in England in 1756, but he travelled to North America in 1786 due to his first compositions became very popular in the American colonies. He revitalized the musical life of Philadelphia in the 1790s, introducing the music of Haydn and Mozart, as well as his original compositions. He also produced opera ballets with the New Company, at the Chestnut Street Theater.

Totally unknown to the current public, he is one of the most important English-born American musicians of classicism, and for that reason I would like to make him this little tribute here in Steemit.

On the other hand, Mount Vernon is located near Alexandria in the county of Fairfax in Virginia, United States where George Washington constructed a mansion made of wood, and where he lived for a time until his death in 1799.

That's where his tomb is located.

Today the place belongs to the National Registry of Historic Places of the United States.

The piece "Mount Vernon Set" is like a small Suite of four movements, and each one brings together the characteristic style of European classicism.

Esta interesante pieza llamada "Mount Vernon Set" tiene cuatro movimientos, y está inspirada en Mount Vernon, donde vivió George Washington:

Pero primero hablemos de Alexander Reinagle, el compositor.
Nació en Inglaterra en 1756, pero viajó a América del Norte en 1786 debido a que sus primeras composiciones se hicieron muy populares en las colonias americanas. Revitalizó la vida musical de Filadelfia en la década de 1790, introduciendo la música de Haydn y Mozart, así como sus composiciones originales. También produjo ballets de ópera con la Compañía Nueva, en el Teatro Chestnut Street.

Totalmente desconocido para el público actual, es uno de los músicos estadounidenses de clasicismo más importantes nacidos en Inglaterra, y por esa razón me gustaría hacerle este pequeño homenaje aquí en Steemit.

Por otro lado, Mount Vernon está ubicado cerca de Alexandria en el condado de Fairfax en Virginia, Estados Unidos, donde George Washington construyó una mansión hecha de madera, y donde vivió durante un tiempo hasta su muerte en 1799. Allí es donde se encuentra su tumba. Hoy el lugar pertenece al Registro Nacional de Lugares Históricos de los Estados Unidos.

La pieza "Mount Vernon Set" es como una pequeña Suite de cuatro movimientos, y cada uno reúne el estilo característico del clasicismo europeo.
