Dublin: Generator Hostel's Jameson Chandeliers
So I am briefly in the Generator Hostel, Dublin.
Being an emigrant from the West of Ireland, its kind of a weird one, to be spending the night in what is basically a tourist hostel in Dublin, instead of visiting family or friends.
However, I have shit to get done in Dublin, and have to leave pretty much as soon as said shit is done, to get to Berlin to do other things. So instead of getting to visit my family (and my cat, who was too old to emigrate with me and was too used to my parents nice place in the countryside...), I figured I'd stay in a hostel for the night.
Anyway, I probably have wound up making the best choice of hostels ever. The bar is decent, despite the "Dublin prices", there is an amazing amount of good food places nearby, and... Well, the subject of the photo... They have these amazing chandeliers made from Jameson bottles. Which is fitting, given the Jameson Distillery is next door.
I figured someone might appreciate the pretty cool upcycling/art they did, it certainly caught my eye when I walked into the bar area!
Anyway, that's all from me for now. I'll probably write more about the current state of affairs once tomorrows "shit that needs to get done" is dealt with.

I had a couple of addicts ask me literally for the ash of my cigarette. I just gave them the cigarette out of a sense of "what on earth just happened". Had forgotten how bad Dublins addiction problem is :/
This is awesome, Jameson is my favorite whiskey to pick up for cheap.
Aye, a bottle of Jameson is kind of my default if I need to get a bottle of whiskey. They have a new one, the Blenders Dog out at the moment. It's not cheap, but I will probably wind up ordering in a bottle and doing a review at some point, comparing it to the usual.
