STOW IT | New Company Doing Storage the Right Way

Hi Everyone,

We're STOW IT and we just wanted to introduce ourselves to the Steemit community. We are a new up and coming storage company from Colorado with an Airbnb concept... we call it peer-to-peer storage. We help people who have extra space connect with people looking for car, trailer, boat, and RV storage. We are championing the new way of doing storage, and shifting the way that people think about storage to be more personable, affordable, and convenient. We've been around for nearly two years now and have gone one spot in our founders basement to 500+ spots throughout Colorado, as well as a few outliers in Utah and California. Storage hasn't changed since the early 1950's, we're on a mission to change the way people think and bring storage into the sharing economy.

There has been a dramatic shift from the traditional taxi service and traditional lodging to a more personalized experience. People that use Uber and Lfyt are looking for a transportation experience that traditional taxi companies can't provide. People who use Airbnb are looking for a more unique local experience, as well as trying to get away from the touristy type of lodging options offered.

Consumers say that traditional self-storage companies feel impersonable and greedy. After reading reviews on large storage companies like Self Storage and Public Storage, it seems that customers feel as though they are being taken advantage of. Whether it is these companies calling their customers to let them know they have raised their rent for no reason, or being too busy to answer their customer's questions as well as offering bad service, traditional storage options just seem outdated in today's society of thinkers and doers.

We hope to change this mentality of storage and make it feel like a more personable, positive interaction while also offering the convenience of location and price. Much like how Uber transformed the taxi industry and Airbnb transformed the hotel industry we hope to revolutionize the storage industry and make renting storage from your neighbors a reality.
