Lurked around the bitcoin scene for a couple years but never really got involved. Likely due to just lack of understanding. Recently I decided to get more "invested" with the commotion over the quick rise in value of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies entering the world. Been doing a lot of reading and research trying to better understand blockchain and all the new innovations being built on it. There is a lot of really amazing things going on in the crypto world and hoping to start making a monetary investment in some technologies rather than just reading and watching the 'industry' hustle and bustle from the sidelines. I decided to jump on SteemIt to give it a try and to allow myself more access to crypto topics/discussions.

I have a small investment in Bitcoin but I am looking to get into some Ethereum and Dash soon. Ethereum looks promising due to the fact a lot of new blockchain technology is coming out utilizing Ethereum "smart contracts" as a foundation or major component; so that seems like a no brainer. Dash seems like it will do well with them staying focused on bringing more "consumer" level players into cryptocurrencies. I see a lot of good things about LiteCoin but other than some nicer features I just don't see them catching up to Bitcoin's incredible performance until people start abandoning it. Substratum sounds phenomenal but I think that technology is a little over my head to fully understand. I have been just opening the flood gates and trying to absorb as much as I can. MusiCoin is a really cool idea but they could really use some "popular" artists to get a big userbase going. There just isn't enough variety on there (or I am using it wrong).

if i get the chance to post some original content it will probably be various projects I am working on in my personal life or interesting tech i come across. looking forward to interacting with the community!
