Hello there...
Hello there...
I am a work-at-home-homeschooling mom of three girls (fourth is on the way). We are a South African family.
I have a small self-publishing business called Scribo Novus Education, I write and design foundation phase material. I design work in my own language, Afrikaans, but most of my work is also translated to English. You can have a look at my material at https://scribonovus.co.za.
I stand for all things natural for instance:
- Home birth
- Breastfeeding
- Home schooling
- No vaccines
- Healthy eating etc.
I also have a Wordpress blog (haven't been using it a lot though) called the "Pioneer Boerwoman", but I am busy changing over to "Semco Mama", will post link as soon as I am finished with all the editing and changes. For those of you that have read Ricardo Semler's book "Maverick! : The Success Story Behind the World's Most Unusual Workplace", this where "Semco Mama" originated from. For those of you who have not read this book yet, I highly encourage you to do so. This book is not just intended for business, but away of life! I also use this concept in our home-schooling journey. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maverick_(book)
As I mentioned before we will be having our fourth baby soon, this will be our second home-birth. I will be sharing our story with you soon, for now I will be making another post with our previous home-birth story.
So this is my #introduceyourself post.
Thank you
Semco Mama

Hi there,
Welcome here. I'm new too and have similar values/experiences. I've got two boys who were both born at home. Still breastfeeding my younger son. Also planning to homeschool (unschool) or set-up something like a Lumiar School founded by Ricardo Semler you mention. I will follow you with interest and wish you all the best for your upcoming home birth.

Being a mom, a stay-at-home mom is definitely hard work! But I can't imagine doing anything else, it is so rewarding.
