Kneel before the dias little one.
Don't you see your time is done?
Take a breath and hold it fast.
Stretch the moment, make it last.

For once the ax falls, it cannot be stopped.
Judgement is final.
Even wrongful trials have an outcome.
Heads will roll.

To execute, bring to heel.
Just ensure you do not feel.
For tiny doubts will nibble and nag.
Slowing the swing of axe grand.

The hood knotted tight about condemned visage.
Let this one dangle from the rope.
Nine turns about the tree.
Like the trails of bloody filigree.
Left by the whip, swung in a fit.
Never let that broken flesh knit.
Who would have thought deaths dance.
Would be a solo act.

Scorched earth, that was the policy.
Take every grain and turn it mouldy.
Salt the ground and turn the stream.
Remember to move sight unseen.

Like a shadow, edged with fire.
Leaving nothing behind unless fit for a pyre.
Burn it all down to the nub.
Then clearcut all the scrub.

If I cannot then nobody else will.
For this ground I would kill.
Every inch sancrosact.
Don't leave out the welcome mat.

Drop another little sack.
Inside which weevils attack.
Starving for their chosen meal.
Broken is the holding seal.

Like the wood upon the water.
Holding back furious tumult.
Let the flood wash them all clean.
As we move through shadows, sight unseen.
