This is the most healthiest and delicious yogurt you ever tried!

Ingredients
2lt milk (I prefer to combine 1,5% fat with 3,5%fat milk)
3 tablespoons live yogurt
3 drops of lemon juice

Method

  • Heat the milk in a saucepan for about 10 minutes or less. But you have to be careful and you have to stir very often so that the milk doesn’t form a layer on the bottom of the pan.(you can add water on the bottom of the pan before you put the milk)

  • Remove from the heat and allow to cool until the temperature reaches 45C (113F). If you don’t have a cooking thermometer, you can dip your little finger into the milk and keep it there comfortably until you count to 21. It s very important to have the perfect temperature, because if you go over or under the specified degrees, the yogurt will not come out right.
  • Combine one cup of that milk with yogurt and lemon juice and whisk.
  • Transfer mixture to the saucepan with the rest of milk and whisk until it has completely dissolved.
  • Transfer to small plastic or clay containers or to a big container.

  • Cover with towels and set oven temperature to 50* C (122*F). When you place container in oven, you have to close it, but with the light on and allow to thicken for about 4 hours or more. When the taste is to your liking, the yogurt is ready!
  • Remove from oven and store in the refrigerator.
  • Combine yogurt with your favourite fruits, add honey and some nuts and serve!

I love Greek yogurt !! Bravo !!

I love homemade yogurt. We always make regular or dairy-free coconut yogurt! Will give greek yogurt a try! Not sure what make it different than the yogurt we make. I'll let you know! Thanks for sharing!

There are some difference between texture & more protein, less sodium and less carbs. the rest is in your palate judgement ! ^^
