Expertos encuentran estos embaces con un supuesto vino, que tiene ocho mil años de antigüedad. Se cree que el invento se dio en el período neolítico. Los científicos están convencido que estos fueron los primeros seres humanos quienes experimentaron con la fermentación de la uva.
Stephen Batiuk es el encargado de este tema, principalmente fue el quien descubrió las vasijas y están a la cabeza de este gran proyecto el científico expreso lo siguiente “Creemos que es el ejemplo más antiguo de domesticación de la uva euroasiática expresamente para la fabricación de vino”.
Según Batiuk, el se siente seguro que para estas colonias el vino se usaba con fuente medicinal, lubricante social, sustancia psi-coactiva e incluso como mercancía de gran valor. Teniendo en cuenta todas estas propiedades el vino se convirtió en una sustancia famosa y muy poderosa para las creencias religiosas la farmacias, la gastronomía, la economía y la vida social en todo el Medio Oriente.
