Intro to RadioFarSide
Hi folks! Perhaps you've come here wanting a bit more information on who I/we are and what we are trying to achieve with SteemIt.
My name is Bernard Grover, creator of Life on the Far Side blog and RadioFarSide. I have worked in the mass media and entertainment since I was 12, a total of 44 years as of this writing. My various outlets can be found around the net, including, LinkedIn, IMdB, Google, and less personal efforts such as Zomato and TripAdvisor.
I currently live in Jakrta, Indonesia, where I have been for the past 10 years. I am a native Texan, but I've dug in to various places like Ireland, England, Germany, and Spain. I've worked in feature films, broadcast TeeVee, corporate communications, print, theater, and a whole slew of industries from medicine to petroleum to entertainment to education. Among other things, I currently teach English-As-A-Second-Language (ESL) while working on a 12-part docu-drama to be produced entirely in Indonesia for a global audience. I was also Project Manager and Executive Director for the Ciputra Artpreneur, the country's first multi-arts center and brought the first-ever Broadway musical (Disney's Beauty and the Beast) there.
I joined SteemIt in hopes of receiving financial benefit from my personal projects (LFS and RFS), especially since I was demonetized by Google 6 years ago (before it was fashionable) and PayPal blocked my account shortly after, followed - of course - by Facebook. It would appear that I cut too close to the bone.
I hope to become a valued contributor to SteemIt, as well as a welcome commentator on other's posts. Thank you for the moment to read this and please feel free to introduce yourself. I am happy to trade follows. Cheers!
