Kiliani das historische Volksfest

The Wurzburg Kiliani is a historic fair, that first took place in the year 1030 almost for a thousand years. The fair is considered the Franconian "Oktoberfest" and it is huge (near to a million visitors) compared to the city (125 000 inhabitants). Yesterday was "family day" which means all the rides are at a 50% discount, so I took the chance to go there with my family, too. I will not write a lot, but leave you with some impressions and a few notations. The pictures are mine exept for some at the end showing the nightlife (sources indicated)

Das Würzburger Kiliani Volksfest ist tatsächlich historisch und zum ersten Mal nachgewiesen im Jahr 1030. Damit ist es beinahe 1000 Jahre alt. Das Volksfest wird als das fränkische Oktoberfest gesehen und es ist mit gut einer Millionen Besucher riesig im Vergleich zur Einwohnerzahl von Würzburg (125 00 ). Gestern war nun "Familientag", was heißt dass es auf alle Fahrgeschäfte einen Rabatt von 50% gibt. Diese Chance habe ich direkt genutzt und bin mit meiner Familie dorthin gefahren. Ich werde nicht allzuviel dazu schreiben, aber euch mit einigen Impressionen und Anmerkungen dazu versorgen:

When we left, the tent for the evening party was almost empty...

Als wir gegangen sind, war das Zelt noch beinahe leer...

But later on there was a real big party going on...

Aber später ging die Party noch richtig ab...
