Hello Steemitians~!!! Nice to meet you all and glad to be part of the community
Hi All,
I am Chris and it is lovely to meet you all. Steemit is very different from other user friendly blogs which I am used to. Most posts here are about cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, technical aspects of Steemit and many other topics which I am not familiar with. But there are also some social post (not related to IT topics) which I find interesting.
Anyway, I was born in Canada (and very proud of it) and raised in Malaysia. My parents are Malaysian citizens and I was born in Edmonton while my dad was doing his PhD in University of Alberta. Upon his graduation, we moved to Penang, Malaysia and I went back home to Edmonton immediately after high school. After graduation from university, I started my career in a full brokerage house (CIBC Wood Gundy). Then I decided to move to Kuala Lumpur (where I currently resides) and helped my dad running an Apple retail business which was just sold months ago. Now I am looking to new business ventures. I found a partner to run entrepreneurship programs for university students and also partnering up with a few more friends to come up with our own line of baby products. I have had a very few difficult months (in terms of income and financial stability) but excited about the future.
I am gifted when it comes to sharing, teaching, coaching and connecting people and topics of my blogs will encompass what I am most comfortable to share, mainly:
- Photography
- Marvel Puzzle Quest (Candy Crush based on Marvel comic characters)
- Minimalism
- My life as an entrepreneur
- Opinions about various social topics
- Life in Canada/Malaysia

I have a question about upvote... if I have all the time in the world, will it benefit if I up vote every comment, reply, post, blog that I come across??
If I upvote to often, will the value of my vote drops?
I Will try to make it simple:
The value of your vote depends on your steem power and your voting power.
Your Steem power, Or SP, grows depending on the number of votes You got on your posts and comments, and the value of those votes, Or You can directly purchase it.
Your Voting Power is like "energy". It goes down with every vote you give in a fixed period of time, and then recharges itself when you "rest".
Right now, an upvote from a newbie ("Minnow") values something like $0.001 and an upvote from a super user ("whale") with lots of SP and full power values something like $7.000
So, you could see posts that have 100 upvotes and make $1.000, or see posts that have 10 votes and make $70.000
It is good being a whale. Remember: you can upvote your own posts. :)

So it is like playing most video games where the energy and vitality recharge every few hours.. so it is good to upvote a few times every day, right?
Yeah, this is pretty much like a strategy game. You play for votes and attention, which mean points and money.
Oh, and one thing that is interesting. Comments can be upvoted too. And the same rules apply.
