A Little Bit of Love - mixed media art

Today's post is back in the art game. In light of recently finding my muse, and getting back into the art world, I'm digging up some previous work, which has been buried in the depths for far too long. Both as a means of finding more inspiration to help drive me to make art a priority again, and of showing the world what I'm capable of while doing so. (Hope that makes sense.)
Can anybody find me somebody to love?

One of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands.
These two are a couple of original characters, named Liam and Lelia, that I developed for a graphic novel I had started to write. The novel remains very much unfinished (I think I roughed out about 50 pages or so before it fell by the wayside) but I still have a soft spot for these characters, and will likely pick up by drawing them as I used to, and re-imagining their aesthetic. Perhaps there'll be a re-imagining of the novel at some point as well, but for now I have other fish to fry. (Literally. Like, to feed my family. :P ) The whole thing was pretty loosey-goosey and only stood as a means of entertainment for myself and about 5 other people... but the basic plot revolved around 3 groups of "elementals" trying to find a bunch of ancient relics, to help wield their power over the elements and thusly holding control over the world, for good, evil, or true balance and neutrality. There's also a bunch of vampires (Liam being one) and some other random magical shit thrown in there, because why not?!
ANYwho... back to the drawing. I sketched it out with good old pencil and paper, then lined the finished sketch with Micron pens. The line work was then scanned onto my computer, where I cleaned up the shoddy scan, and set about painting it digitally. At that time I was using Photoshop... I cannot for the life of me remember which suite it was.

Once upon a time I used to post these things regularly to DeviantArt. I haven't used the account in MANY years, but maybe I should check and see if it's still active somehow.

You did such a great job with the outfits and the coloring! Are you planning on posting your novel here on Steemit? It might motivate you to slowly reach the finish.
Thanks! I'll definitely be posting more drawings of the characters, and may eventually post the novel... I'll have to dig it out and give it a read over first. Plus that's a lot of scanning. hahaha I'd like to at least sit down and rough out the rest of the story, since at the time I was just making it up as I went along, one page at a time. Maybe having some more concrete ideas would help move it along as well.
Sometimes inspiration takes you by the hand and leads you down a slow steady path. There's a lot of note taking and research that need to be done for novels but I'm positive that you'll get it done. Good luck and I can't wait to see more of your drawings. :)
