Oaxaca, Mexico Pt. II

I wanted to continue my previous post about Oaxaca, Mexico - adding a few more photos of our adventure and describing the locations.

The first image is from Oaxaca (city), when we were out and about exploring the different quaint achirtecture this amazing city has to offer. My memory is a little hazy but I believe this first image was taken in a museum.

Next we have a colourful shot that I took while entering a restaurant in Oaxaca. The roof top patio was fantastic but I seemed to have only captured this image of the tassels hanging from the wall. The restaurants in Oaxaca have extensive Mezcal lists, I'm talking pages and pages. It's such a fantastic spirit to try - I'll post more about this later.

The rest of the photos are all taken from Puerto Escondido, the southern point of Oaxaca state. We were there in January of 2017, and it was well over 30º C while were there.

These last two images are still from Puerto Escondido - we payed to do a baby turtle release. This was organized by a local organization that uses the money to support the protection of the sea turtles. I was told while on a boat tour that it is a criminal offence if someone was to hurt or kill a sea turtle as they are endangered - resulting in severe jail time.
