El Teatro Municipal de Puerto Cabello está ubicado en el casco histórico de esta ciudad portuaria ubicada al norte del estado Carabobo en Venezuela, ocupando una manzana entera circundada por calles. Inaugurado el 1ro. de enero de 1886, tres años antes de culminar su construcción, se trata de una edificación representativa de la arquitectura neoclásica de finales del Siglo XIX, que sería declarado Monumento Histórico Nacional en 1981. Por sus escenarios han desfilado artistas de renombre mundial como la balletista rusa Ana Pavlova, el compositor y violinista Augusto Brandt y el reconocido cantante francoargentino Carlos Gardel, entre otras figuras.

En su interior existen tres sectores claramente identificables, el primero de ellos formado por el acceso a través de un atrio neoclásico de dos plantas. Luego sigue la sala de espectáculos, conformada por una platea, el primer balcón y el segundo balcón, cada uno de ellos con salones de espera. Finalmente, el tercer sector lo forman los camerinos y el escenario.

El teatro estuvo activo hasta 1975 cuando fue clausurado, dando inicio a su proceso de restauración, iniciativa que finalizaría en el año 1989. Posee una capacidad de 617 asientos, y constituye parte fundamental del legado arquitectónico de finales del siglo XIX de esta hermosa ciudad.

La imagen original tomada a color un par de años atrás, durante una corta visita que realizara a Puerto Cabello, fue modificada haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición de la aplicación PicsArt, empleando una superposición de filtros, comenzando con un filtro del tipo HDR (High Dynamic Range) con la finalidad de ampliar los tonos de la imagen original, y posteriormente un filtro sencillo de Blanco & Negro, un procedimiento que ya he usado con anterioridad en otras publicaciones.

The Municipal Theater of Puerto Cabello is located in the historic center of this port city located north of the Carabobo state in Venezuela, occupying an entire block surrounded by streets. The theater was active until 1975 when it was closed, beginning its restoration process, an initiative that would end in 1989. It has a capacity of 617 seats, and is a fundamental part of the architectural legacy of the late nineteenth century of this beautiful city.

The original image taken in color a couple of years ago, during a short visit to Puerto Cabello, was modified using the editing tools of the PicsArt application, using a filter overlay, starting with a filter of the type HDR (High Dynamic Range) in order to expand the tones of the original image, and subsequently a simple filter of Black & White, a procedure that I have used previously in other publications.
