Medusas en mi vida - Jellyfish in my life

La medusa es un animal que siempre ha formado parte de mi vida. Soy de un pueblo de Almería que se llama Carboneras, viví allí hasta los 23 años y una de los deportes que practicaba es la pesca submarina. Por eso digo que siempre han formado parte de mi vida, porque casi siempre veía alguna y más de una vez me he llevado alguna picadura, aunque siempre nada serio.

The jellyfish is an animal that has always been part of my life. I am from a town in Almeria called Carboneras, I lived there until I was 23 years old and one of the sports I practiced is underwater fishing. That's why I say that they have always been part of my life, because I almost always saw some and more than once I've had a sting, but always nothing serious.

También cuando hacía oleaje y no se podía bucear iba a la playa, hacía bodyboard, ya que es el surf que puede practicarse en Almería debido al tipo de oleaje que hay. Y al igual que en el buceo, también me llevé algún susto con las medusas.

Also when it made waves and could not dive I went to the beach, I did bodyboarding, since it is the surf that can be practiced in Almeria due to the type of waves that there are. And as in diving, I also got some fright with the jellyfish.

¿Por qué a día de hoy siguen formando parte de mi vida las medusas? Ahora la relación es más rara, por llamarlo de alguna forma. A mi hijo le gusta mucho ver Bob Esponja y en muchos capítulos sale este animal, así que en cierto modo siguen siendo parte de mi vida xD.

Why are jellyfish still part of my life today? Now the relationship is rarer, to call it somehow. My son likes to see Sponge Bob and in many chapters this animal comes out, so in a way they are still part of my life xD.

A él le encantan, así que cada vez que vamos a un lugar en el que hay exposición de animales, buscamos las medusas porque a mi hijo le encantan. La verdad es que es un animal espectacular y es muy bonito verlas, sobre todo con los contrastes de luces que les ponen.

He loves them, so every time we go to a place where there is an exhibition of animals, we look for jellyfish because my son loves them. The truth is that it is a spectacular animal and it is very nice to see them, especially with the contrasts of lights that they put on them.

En mi último viaje, hace unos días, hemos estado en Tenerife pasando una semana espectacular. Una de las visitas que hemos hecho es al Loro Parque, es un zoo de los más famosos del mundo y que tiene la reserva de loros más grande del mundo. Hay todo tipo de animales, y como no, medusas, así que pongo aquí las fotos más bonitas que hice de las medusas.

On my last trip, a few days ago, we have been in Tenerife spending a spectacular week. One of the visits we have made is to Loro Parque, it is one of the most famous zoo in the world and it has the largest parrot reserve in the world. There are all kinds of animals, and of course, jellyfish, so I put here the most beautiful photos I made of jellyfish.
