Random Fanart drawings plus the WIP of my first dreamscape oil painting!

Hello people of Steemit!

I am back with another post. Trying to keep consistent here to make sure I post at least once every couple of days.

I am currently at work being bored and tired so I'm just going to make a random post here with a couple of random drawings that have nothing to do with each other other than being fan art pieces of animated shows/movies.

I also started my first oil painting yesterday! I've been meaning to do it -forever-, like since January but I've just been stuck on where to start or what I should paint. So I've decided to paint up dreamscapes from past dreams that I've had. Just moments in said dreams that stand out to me the most. I didn't realize how long it took oil paint to dry but I had to stop painting last night because the canvas was wet and I couldn't do anything more without losing the colours into the background. Soo.. while that's drying I'll continue to work on commissions and convention pieces. See, I told you I'd kick my butt in gear and get things done.

But yeah, my dreams have always been crazy and trippy and constant. There's rarely a night that goes by where I -don't- dream and while most of the time they're just insane, sometimes they're quite symbolic and make me think. So I'm going to give you a glimpse into my mind so you all can see what I see when I'm dreaming! :D I believe that dreams are sometimes more than just the brain firing off random things or images. And while most of the time dreams are just that or your brain is reflecting how you feel about certain things, people or situations.. sometimes I think dreams are a way of communication. If that makes any sense. Sometimes, dreams are just a little bit more. I'm probably not making any sense but if I'm going to dive into what I believe we will be here all day. So...

Time for art! XD

Here is what I got done of my painting so far before I had to stop. I was Bob Ross'in it right up with my happy little clouds. Which are a lot harder to do then he makes it seem. :P This isn't going to be crazy good or a masterpiece or anything like that because I don't know what's going on when it comes to different brushes or painting techniques. I'm just going with the flow and trying to execute the image in my mind the best I can. Lol. But I imagine with practice I'll get better. :)

And now for the random drawings. Lol.

We have Garnet from Steven Universe! To continue my theme here for convention drawings. I'm going to draw Amethyst next and then I'm on to something else. If anyone has any ideas on what a good piece to sell at a convention would be, I'm all ears!

And then this is a commission I did of Marianne and the Bog King from the animated film Strange Magic, which I was crazy excited about. It's entirely underrated. I thought this was an amazing movie and I was super stoked that the heroine fell in love with the villain. I always love it when that happens. The music was good, it suited the movie, the characters were awesome. I mean, Alan Cumming as Bog King? Amazing. If anything the timing was a little choppy but hey.. so are a lot of movies nowadays.
